Not that it's about presents for mothers day as such, but my birthday is always around the same time, so yes there are presents involved, and as a single mum I have to pay for them myself. Oh well, not to worry... my kids are getting old enough now that I can drop them at a shop and give them money and they wander around themselves choosing presents for me... they LOVE doing that, makes them feel so grown up and special!

The other thing I want for mothers day is just to have my kids with me, which up until tonight wasn't going to happen as it is their dad's weekend, but I managed to negotiate to get them back Saturday evening for my birthday and then keep them for mothers day as well. So I am very thankful!
It's hard with two houses isn't it? It's our weekend with the kids, and we are happy for their mum to see them (as always on Mother's Day, her birthday, and the kids' birthday if we can), she does the same in return for father's day, etc. Holidays are hard.

I just want my whole family together and the thing about this stupid disease is that you can never make plans because you never know what's coming.
I hope I can be with DH and my kids.

All I want is a card with a nice heartfelt message. I didn't get anything last year for my first mother's day so would be stoked just to have the day be remembered in some way.

My kids are only 4 and 5, so I hope their day care and school do something, or it'll be nothing and I might be a bit stupidly sad.

A quiet day suits me, I usually cook a roast and get as many of my children over for dinner as I can, three out of four this year !
