Wow there is a lot happening with everyone on the thread, exciting times.

We had our 12week scan / NT scan which everything looked good with Bub and we received a low risk result. Stoked considering dp was 39 at collection and put us into a higher starting risk.

I just had the most random thought... I can't believe a part of our donor whom we've never seen or met is growing inside of me. It just reinforces how it is such a gift that we can all TTC with the generosity of others.

Default Same Sex Parents TTC List #2

    That's fantastic news @TandR!

Yep lots of action on here! We start our Puregon on Sunday which is exciting! Hopefully we will be having our eggs collected in a couple of weeks!

ETA - yes it's an amazing gift these donors give us. I am so grateful that we have access to donors and that we have access to reproductive services! Whilst it can seem hard at times, it's nice and stop and think how lucky we are to even have the chance to try and conceive.

Congrats TandR! We just had our 20 week anatomy scan! We're having a baby girl and she is completely perfect. I have a low lying placenta so we have to keep our eye on that but everything with our baby girl was great! We're so happy and relieved.

That's amazing @A&S! A little girl! How beautiful!! What does it mean to have a low lying placenta?

If it doesn't move up, which it should, it can be quite risky for me and potentially baby. I can haemorrhage during birth and baby can get stuck but it's very unlikely. If the placenta didn't move up I would probably need a C-section. It means I am going to need an extra scan at 32 weeks and then they decide from there what to do depending on its position. I'm not really worried though. I'm just so relieved everything looks good with Bub

Glad everything looked well for bub on the scan @A&S. Aside from the placenta position. Congrats on having a little girl on her way! Did you have any gut feelings on the gender? I've had one lingering the past few weeks that would suggest we have a girl on board also, but who knows!

@TortoiseNotTheHare good luck for when you and DP start injections. I hope the process is smooth for you both, and that you both respond well.

Thanks @TandR! I hope so too! Eeeekk!

I wonder if we would get tempted to do the Harmony test. Aside from the medical testing we would get to know the gender early on too. Or maybe we would be patient little people and just wait until 20 weeks! Maybe we should just wait until we are actually pregnant 😂

Yes I had a strong feeling she was a girl from the start so no surprises really. We were tempted to do the harmony because I'm super impatient but then thought about all the things we could buy baby with that money and opted not to. We picked our pram, cot and car seat today and put it on lay buy

There's no harm in being positive!

We initially decided to wait until it's born and have bub introduce itself to us, but we both spoke the other night and wondered if we actually wanted to know! Still undecided at the moment.
