Default Same Sex Parents TTC List #2

Well, we are in limbo land here..

Tuesday early evening we poas and got the below image:
    ImageUploadedByThe Bub Hub1438855438.140672.jpg

All good however DP starting bleeding that arvo/heavy that night- all too TMI- but very much along the lines of our IUI chem.

POAS the next morning- yesterday- gave an absolute negative. Not a hint of a line. Thought it was all over due to the baaad bleeding, but also thinking it strange to have a decent line show up to then a neg in 12 hrs...

BT this morning expecting it to BFN, but HCG came back at 170, progesterone 11.

Due to the obviously very faulty test yesterday morn, we didn't even bother to test this morning thinking it all over.

When the results came in this arvo, DP had to rush into the clinic before closing tonight to get an intramuscular inj of progesterone.

Confusing times next BT and inj is scheduled for Saturday am.

This is tonight's test with day 14 pm as comparison. Who knows. But we at least feel positive knowing our embies take and we need strong progesterone support in the future.

    We just don't know?

Oh boxer, limbo is absolutely awful. What was DPs first hcg beta level? we got stuffed up with a dodgy box of FRER too. We should write to them. It's not cool.

Hopefully the progesterone helps, although as you know it won't save it if it's not viable, but hopefully it is.

The saving grace is, as you said, she can get pregnant. Same with my DP. 2/2, hopefully the third one sticks and lasts the distance.

    Big hugs x

    Thanks @rainbow road

Feel 'lucky' to even get this far when we read a lot don't.

Which beta are you referring to?
If it's the iui chem then it was 20. So thinking that the crinone gel got us that bit further this time.

We have 2 frosties, so hoping we will have some luck with them if this cycle doesn't work out?

Oh I thought perhaps you had a beta before this one... Sorry! Never mind then. It's hard to tell from one reading what it 'means' for the pregnancy. Do you know if there were low progesterone issues with the first chem?

Which test in the pic of both of them is the most recent one?

Sorry for all the questions x

No, this is the 1st beta at 11dp5dt.

Supposedly our clinic likes them 200+.

I think our wondering is if the numbers above are a failing emby (what we are leaning to) or a slow riser. Guess we will know more tomorrow Just pee'd off (pardon pun) with an obviously faulty test!

The below test is tonight's. the above 2 nights ago.

Our IUI Chem preg progesterone levels were not monitored..but I reckon it's pretty clear that that is the problem. Hopefully we are not too late with this little emby but seems so.

Ah I understand you! Well for what it's worth, 170 is a great standalone number. Our clinic likes above 100 at 16dpo.

The progesterone is a tricky one, because it could be either that the embryo has stopped growing so her body isn't producing anymore prog because it doesn't need to... Or she has low progesterone that needs to be supplemented to help maintain a healthy pregnancy. Like you said, time will tell.

    good luck xxx

Thanks! It won't feel real until we have the Bt results tomorrow afternoon I think. We attended a funeral today, so this was our way of trying to make the day better.
