We aren't due to start for another 2 weeks. So if af and O follow her usual route then even if she has the shot tomorrow, insem would likely be 28-30 days from now (28 days being the recommended time to wait after the shot) so should be fine but dr thinks it's too close especially if she O's early....

She is going back tomorrow for the shot but has a whole bunch of questions to ask before it.

@almai that's so annoying 😔 I'm sorry that the clinic has sprung this on you. This might be a silly question but if your DP has already had the shot last year and it's not stuck then what makes them think she needs to have another? What if this one doesn't change her immunity? Some people can't be immunised for certain things so if that's the case for her then why would they ask her to do it again? I'm confused with their logic. Maybe I'm missing something.

I have been immunised for Hep B and it didn't stick so I figured there's no point in doing it again but maybe I'm wrong.

    You are right @TORtiseNotTheHare

I am the same with Hep B. Cos of work I have had the vaccinations, and then at least 15 boosters without developing any immunity. The only reason I know about my immunity is because I am a nurse. Heaps of others are out there without immunity to various things despite having had vaccinations

Talking to other mums on my ds DIG and lots said the same ^
So DP is going to question the necessity of it considering it didn't hold last time... And heaps of people said they only found out that their immunity was low or non existent once pregnant and still had healthy bubs.
And sooo many people say they have had multiple vax and still aren't immune, so she might just be one of them that can't hold it.
    Hopefully we get answers tomorrow.

Hopefully they give you some good news tomorrow. I mean I'm all for doing things by the book too but I don't think I would wait to have the vaccination not knowing if it will work anyway. Anyway I don't want to fuel the fire so I'm going to send some good vibes your way and keep my fingers crossed that they tell your DP not to worry about it 😊

Hey guys, BFN this month unfortunately! Disappointed... And annoyed because it's 15DPO and still no sign of AF, which is really unusual for me, so I had gotten my hopes up. Spoke to the clinic yesterday and they are recommending a third IUI before moving on to anything else. Part of me wants to just go straight to IVF though... Mostly because I'm sick of having to travel to Perth. Hopefully third times a charm 😊

@almai I was the same, tested not immune to measles, despite having the MMR immunisation in the last two years. The GP thought maybe I was just in the 2% that won't retain immunity but they gave me a measles booster prior to TTC and it seems to have stuck this time. Sorry you've had a disappointing few days, hopefully the immunisation works for DP this time and you guys get the healthy bub you're after.

Sorry to hear that Dougy. AF definitely knows how to play mind games.

Good luck for your third IUI
