So, that makes it 12dpiui? Sounds like a good plan!

I'm not sure re: protocols etc. I think that costs probably factor into things as far as what clinics offer? Not sure?

I assume that it all comes down to our own bodies, anywho!

What size were your follies at your scan?

Default Same Sex Parents TTC List #2

Yeh I thought that too but it we are paying $2000 per cycle, $2500 for the first so it's not exactly a cheaper option. I think my follicles were 18 and 19mm on CD12 so they probably grew a few more mm before CD14 when I triggered. What size were yours? I'm probably just over analysing it. I'm sure if FS thought it was necessary for me he would have said.

Those follie sizes were great We had 2 follies of that size too, but one day behind you!

Ps: We knew of a couple that were in exactly the same stage and timing as us during our 1st IUI and didn't have any meds during, they got pregnant first IUI round. That made us doubt having the meds for a while but you just have to trust your FS at the end of the day I think.

Wow that's so lucky. I did mention last appointment about getting the progesterone BT mid cycle but he said it made no difference. So I guess we just have to wait and see and cross our fingers

That's interesting that your FS said there is no point testing progesterone because some people are given pessaries to help with progesterone support... Having said that your levels may be awesome without it and that could be the difference?

I have no idea what my levels are. To be honest I don't even know if they've been tested. I wonder if I should be worried. Will see next week I guess and then follow it up for next cycle.

Well, my first appt went really well. We're very excited!

FS was a lovely guy and talk us through options of either IUI or IVF to start. Think we are going for IUI first go. More blood tests now and then next Tuesday we are meeting the nurse and psychologist.

He gave us the option to have a HSG - what would you recommend? He suggested it was optional.

@A&S try not to stress hun. They may have tested you without you even realising. See how you go but a lot don't need the extra support 😊
@Hayls81 that's great to hear that your appointment went so well! You must be really excited that things are moving along now. As for the test, from memory it was quite expensive but if money is not a concern I would do it. Just to be sure there isn't anything that the FS should know about. If you opt not to then you could always get it done if you run into trouble. The only issue with that option is by that time you could have spent thousands on cycles when it could have been dealt with earlier. It's a hard one!!!!

Thanks - hmmm good point. It's just $$$ at every option! I might check out the prices for the test .... Way that up against it.

Def do a HSG if you're doing IUI- it will show if your tubes are blocked or not. If they're blocked then the spermies won't make it to the egg.
