    Default Gave expired panadol what to do?

    Just realised I gave my 4 year old panadol that expired June 2014 is there anything I should be doing?? Will it just not work as well or could it harm her? I feel so stupid!!

    I wouldn't worry about it. I think the active ingredient just isn't as strong after the use by date?

    Yeah I wouldn't worry . Effectiveness would lessen with age.

    It's probably no issue at all but if you are worried call the poisons info line

    I'm pretty sure it's the effectiveness that lessons with age so I wouldn't worry too much but having said that a call to the poisons info line would probably stop the worry too.

    I did this once with nurofen and rang my dr who said it was fine.

    It just means they can't guarantee its effectiveness after that date. I took panadol once that was 1 year expired and it still did the trick though.
