Did you end up going ahead with the procedure? My husband had his reversal two weeks ago with Dr Tracey on the Gold Coast. We'd originally booked with the Metrocentre which was going to cost a fortune ($8k/9k) and now looks like it's closed down anyway. We were able to have the procedure with Dr Tracey covered by our private health insurance so it only cost around $1,100. All seems good so far! We have a follow-up appointment this week.

    Hi SurferGal,

We are checking options in Gold Coast and Brisbane and find that Metro Centre is quit expensive we had similar quote than you, the problem is that Private Insurance has not agreements with them so does not cover much, that means out of our pocket is almost the full amount.( $8k/$9k)
I wanted to ask you how it went the surgery with Dr. Tracey? Possibilities are the same?, good doctor? Which private insurance you have? We have BUPA. I will appreciate your feedback. Thanks in advance

Hi @Layla Morgan so far so good! The procedure went well, Dr Tracey seemed happy with it and gave us the go ahead to start trying after four weeks. It takes up to three months for everything to rejuvenate I believe but he said no harm in trying (I'm going to test in a few days, eek!). Our three month analysis for DH's little dudes is coming up in a couple of weeks.

My DH is with Medibank. Dr Tracey does it in a way so that the procedure is "medically necessary" and covered by private health. Our out of pocket expenses were about $1200. The procedure was done at Pindara. Dr Tracey specialises in the area unlike Dr Lekich at MC who specialises in microsurgery in general. I'll give you an update on the analysis in a few weeks.

Oh wow, that's exciting!! We were planning on dropping the test in today but it slipped our mind, will try and do it tomorrow but probably won't get the results any time soon with Christmas so close. I'm super excited to start trying this month since it's now three months post-op. Yay!
