Hello Miss Sagi I have been reading along but not posting.

I have been really well and had my 20 week scan last week and babies are all well. I am having twin boys. I now have a lovely baby bump and the secret is now out. Family and friends have been very supportive and perhaps a bit excited as well. I have started clearing out the spare room and my parents are going to help set up the nursery in a couple of weeks. Still doesn't feel real yet

Annabelle, glad to hear everything is going well. You're doing better than me I haven't started doing anything yet! I'm finding all I want to do is sleep all weekend, which isn't helping my 'to-do' list.
    I'm 23wks and still doesn't feel real!

Miss Sagi I am trying to get things done before I get to fat. Mum & Dad are away at the end of August so the nursery needs to be done by then. So far I have a double pram, 2 car seats and twin breast feeding pillow. I have second hand cots organized from another twin mum whose twins are ready for big beds. I think when the nursery is set up with most of the furniture it will seem very real.

Congrats to all the BFP: Hopeful1975, TannyMac, Lisaxxx and Cathy69.

Mardi, glad you have the blood pressure under control.

As I'm pretty sure I got the terrible Campylobacter on the plane back to Toronto, I am asking to ship my embryos here and doing a frozen cycle here.

Just a heads up, it takes approximately eight weeks to get the appropriate paperwork to ship out of SA. Also, I did find this company, which specializes in shipping eggs, sperm and embryos around the world: http://www.kynisi.com.

Its great you have the opportunity to do that Canuck. Its illegal in Australia to import them so we can't do it.

    Huge congrats Cathy!!
Yes I made it out of hospital on the weekend with bubs still in my tum just in time for my baby shower which was an event in itself!! I was just so thankful to be able to go home to let bubs grow as it sure wasn't looking good there for a few days.
I was so lucky I had my mum visiting to help with our son and to prepare my shower in 24 hours with my husband as I was on bed rest. The girl who was hosting ended up in hospital with her toddler who fell into some steps and needed stitches hours before the party. I was also blessed to have a hubby who stayed the whole time serving drinks, good etc and telling me to sit down all the time! Anyway was a lovely afternoon.
Yes Canuck I am managing to keep BP down fingers crossed so far. A healthy term baby is good motivation as is the fact my awesome OB is going away for the next 3 weeks! After everything we have been thru, I so want him to deliver this baby. He's given me 855774 tests and appts to follow up while he's away!
I wish we could import our embryos into Australia. It would make future cycles much cheaper and less stressful when you don't have to travel to SA and back. Although I lOVE Cape Town, it's a long and expensive journey.

Miss Sagi, thanks for asking for our wellbeing, just like Annabelle, I've been reading the threads (infrequently though) and living through the girls ups and downs here. It's an exciting and nerve wracking journey and I know all too well how it feels.
I'm now 22weeks and had the big scan 2weeks ago confirming both bubbies doing very well. The boy measured 6d ahead of due date and the girl 5d behind the due date, being smaller and more petite My belly size on the other hand measures 7 weeks ahead of what I was with my first pregnancy so I feel rather big and getting more and more uncomfortable as the time goes by. I still have occasional morning sickness, my uti is under control with 1 antibiotic pill a day and I visit Physio for my back but other than that I'm pretty good Can't wait to have my mum over in mid Sep and she'll say till Xmas so lots of mum-daughter an grandchildren time
Take care all lovely ladies and stay strong and positive! This forum is the best support as well as info centre

Thats great news Devaki, yes my little girl is a bit smaller than the boy too but both are right on track in regards to due date size, only 2 days difference. Look after yourself. 😊

Just wanted to let you all know that CAbaby has arrived! He was 2 weeks early and is absolutely precious! He weighed just over 7lbs and measured just over 20 inches inches. My water broke early so they gave me meds to bring on contractions and then my labor was pretty easy.

We were released from the hosptial yesterday and are trying to figure out the breastfeeding thing and operating in 3 hour stretches of diaper changes, breast pumping and sleeping.

Hang in there ladies although it can be stressful and emotionally draining this process can and does work, my beautiful baby boy CAbaby is living proof!
