Just a quickie (will post a longer post soon) but just wanted to say a big congrats to Lisa, TannyMac and Hopeful. Amazing news!

Emma-Jane: Our donor had donated a few times before with good results (four pregnancies if I remember correctly) but we were the worst by far in terms of egg numbers which led to some stressful moments in CT. But I am now 34 weeks pregnant with a daughter. At the end of the day, there's a fair bit of luck involved with whoever you choose. I did find the choosing of the donor (and then the second guessing of our decision afterwards) the most difficult part of the whole process. Good luck.
    Hello to everyone else.

I've got a few frozen back in CT too. Who knows how I'll feel when the time comes. This pregnancy hasn't been too hard but if I do want to go again I'll have to go back pretty quickly.

I'd like to think that someone who travelled a long way and potentially could miss out would love to adopt my embryos but how I'll feel in 6 months time is another story.

I also know a couple people currently at CFC and I'm wishing them all the best for their cycles. Such good news all round right now.

There is so much activity on this thread at the moment.
So after a lot of thought and serious talk, we have decided that I will return to Cape Town alone to transfer one more embryo. Our plan would be to thaw all 4 and choose the very best one to transfer. I am mid 40s and feel that it is now or never. To come to this decision was hard. Life has just started to settle down a bit!! When one has the good fortune of having a successful cycle and frozen embryos, the excitement and mayhem of having a family takes centre stage. We have often thought about what to do with the remaining frosties, but actually coming to a decision has been very hard to deal with, and so it's been shoved in the back of our minds for ages as to what to do. Initially we thought we would donate them on, however now we know what they could become, we feel somewhat different. While I would have never been a mum had it not been for our lovely donor, I feel a deep sense that these embryos and their potential belong with us. This must be a very common dilemma. So while we would love a sibling for our boys, if it is unsuccessful, then the door can be closed once and for all on that chapter. I do want to be able to tell the boys at an age appropriate time that we had embryos left and tried again (either successfully or not). I'm not sue how they may feel about 4 potentially full sibs being given away anonymously, so this is why we would thaw all and pick the most developed to transfer, and discard what was left. Anyone else having these thoughts?
    Have a great weekend. WJ
Wilson - I totally understand where you are coming from. We are now just discussing this tonight actually! Before our bub was born 7 weeks ago I thought I had decided that this would be it for us (I am 44). But after having her in our life for this short time we cannot imagine life without her. She has brought us so much happiness already and we feel she was meant to be with us from the start. We too will probably just try once more with our frosties & that will be it. But we too feel these embryos belong with us. And we need to give them another go. It's amazing how much love you can feel for a little bubba! I am still thrown by it every time I look at her... DE was the best thing we ever did. All the very best with your FET x

Yikes I've just realised I'm going to run out of synarel and my dr is away for another week. I reckon I've got about 10 days left and leave for CT in 2 weeks. Does it come by prescription? I've only ever had it given to me for cycles, never prescribed. If I get CFC to send me a script then order from international pharmacy, does anyone know how long that will take?
