    Hopeful

Repeat bloods to check doubling normally after a few days then a week.

First scan around 6 weeks (from memory).

Ah you really are in for a ride. I looked at FERTILITY FRIENDS (from UK) IVF calendar as a back up to know what's happening.

They just send you info on your meds schedule until 10w and a pregnancy outcome form to fill in.

Hopeful and TannyMac - CONGRATULATIONS !

Hopeful - I can't believe how focused on a good pregnancy outcome CFC are and I agree re Sydney fert clinic - my own experience with my Sydney clinic was just full of too many 'oh well......'s' there never really seemed to be a genuine attempt to sort out problems or 'mishaps'. Having had a different experience with CFC, it makes me sad in a way.

AFM, I had my first scan today (6w) and it showed 2 sacs - 1 at 6w1d with HB of 108 and a 2nd sac which is a few days behind (5w4d) but without a visible HB. I just emailed Paul Le Roux with the results and I was a bit '2nd not viable' but he in contrast is extremely positive about 'your twins'. I will probably head back and have a 2nd scan in a week or 10 days just to 'check up'.

Cathy69 great news. Be positive. Number 2 needs a little time.

    Hello everyone

So much good news on the forum - someone said it was so different to other forums (e.g. over 40s IVF) and I agree, you are all such an inspiration.

I had to steer clear of posting for a while (I was lurking) as I can get a bit obsessed with the whole journey and lose focus on my job - as someone else mentioned, this seems like the most important thing and somehow everything else can get trivialized.

    Lisa, Hopefull, Tannymac, Cathy: congratulations!
Emski: You are my role model for how I want to respond if I don't get a BFP first time.

I just wanted to share that we are still going mid/late August - donor is having her tests right now so fingers crossed that she "passes". Feels real now that I have started the OCP.

I'm sending hope and positivity to every one of you!!
    Kay

Hopeful - tell me about it! I can hardly contain myself. I keep doing things like re-reading the donor profile, re-reading all the success stories... like I said I can get a bit obsessed.

I just can't WAIT to tell our 4 year old son that he will be a big brother - he wants it so badly, and often asks if I have a baby in my belly.

Hope your good news is settling in!
    Kay

Cathy69, I agree with KMP. My FS said she won't do my scan until 7 weeks as she has done way too many scans where one twin just needed a few more days - good luck!!
