Congratulations Lisa and tannymac - twins all round I say ! @Hopeful1975, congratulations to you too! How did that happen? Did you start with 8 and on the same day they gave you another 2? If they gave them on a later day your progesterone wouldn't have been the right level? Do tell .... CFC just keep pulling rabbits out of their hat don't they !

Hi L, on epu donor had thirteen eggs but only 9 fertilised. By day 3, we were dwindling further but I reckoned I would still have two to put in and then at least two to freeze. On day 5 we got a call to come in earlier than planned. When we got in they said only 3 were still going but all 3 had fragmented to the point that they didn't think it was even worth putting them in.

    Was devastated

Anyway, they offered us two solutions- they could take two blasts out their bank and thaw them or they could approach another donor would was also on day 5 and had had a bumper crop to see if she might consider donating two.

We were told to head off for a bit and come back two hours later.

We did and they told us that the donor with the fresh blasts was willing to donate.

Was astounded at the lengths CFC went to to get an outcome. Just made me mad at how crap the clinic I used in Syd was

Was roller coaster of a journey and glad we went on safari (sanbona) afterwards - was perfect distraction

L, ours was half donor sperm half dh- we didn't want to take any chances

They reckoned the fragmentation was down to the eggs- disappointing donor was 19 and proven with live births

Just shows you that you can't be guaranteed - if anything for those about to embark on ed - CFC actually want you to succeed so will find a solution
