All the best for Monday emski.

we have decided that we will prob try with my own eggs until the end of the year and then look to sa probably in February. I would prefer to take little miss who is 2 in November but hubby thinks it would be easier for her to stay here in her usual routine like daycare which she loves and get my mum to fly over to mind her. I would miss her dreadfully though but I do get where he is coming from. My dad retires end of the year so if we wait until February then he could come over with mum for the 10 days.

    Hi All,
I've been a bit quiet on here lately while we worked through finding a donor.

Emski72, you never know, the monday blood test might be a suprise.

AFM today we finally confirmed and locked in our donor!!! We'll be in cape town either the end of aug or end of sept. Just waiting for the donor to find out her exam timings so we can work around that.
Just one question for all of you lovely ladies. Did your agency show/send you the signed consent or contract from the donor before you transfered the payment? Obviously they cant send anything that has identifying information on it but we were just wondering whether we get to see something that locks it in before payment?

Wazbub I had to pay before they did anything. I think that would be standard and no I did not see any paperwork.

The contract is with the agency not you so I don't think we'd have any right to see it anyway due to privacy and anonymity.

Hi all - feeling pretty crushed today. After all those lovely eggs we didn't end up with any to freeze - just the 2 beautiful blasts that were put in me. So much pressure for these 2 to take but feeling pretty sad that there is no backup plan. We have left a frozen sample for DH but if we do need to go back I guess we look at choosing another donor? What did others do after a similar first time experience.
Fingers crossed these little ones stick and work. We leave Cape Town on Monday and are due for pregnancy test Friday 19th!

    good luck everyone!

Tanny sorry to hear there's no frosties... but concentrate on the lovely little fresh embies on board. It's hard when things don't go exactly how you wanted them to I know! People think DE is the magic bullet but it's still fraught with variables that can do our heads in. You're in with a great chance of twins on board so worry about the 'what if's' when they happen and just rest up for the next 9 days.
