Oh Lisa, I'm sorry to hear that egg pickup wasn't as successful as hoped, I understand your disappointment, especially when you arrive in Cape Town expecting to hear good numbers. It's wonderful that the clinic is giving you extra eggs as a backup and must help to ease your mind a little bit at least. As many women on hear told me, there have been many disappointing numbers initially that have still resulted in pregnancy. My fingers are crossed for you over the coming days. X

Emski, although I was sad to here you list an emby, I am really happy that you managed to have one expanded blastocyst transferred, that sounds very promising! The frer's were burning a whole and I caved and took one when I got back, even though I knew it was too early at 6dp3dt. I have had significant cramping since yesterday so I am hoping that it's an embryo or two snuggling in

Cramping is good! (Until you're definitely preggers the you worry about it haha!) seriously it sounds like a good sign x

Hi everyone - had my scan today. Lining is 9.5 so that was a relief. Dr Le Roux said my donor is doing well and has about 12 follicles. Egg pick up will be Friday. Feeling quite anxious but reading people's updates puts everything into perspective. Good luck to everyone!!!!
stay positive Lisa - sending you best wishes. Hopefully you haven't blown away with this ridiculous weather here?

Been quiet as its been a bit of a roller coaster. We got 13 but they've been a bit cagey saying some may not be developed enough. Looking like Monday transfer.

Was odd in waiting room today - thought they're may have been a few of you there.

Baby dust to you all. CFC really seem to be on their game

Hopeful the waiting room is funny...lots of people staring each other off! I was there about 11am.
My cycle with Edie we got 12, 6 fertilised, 2 transferred, 2 frozen so they do dwindle, but you're after quality... Between EPU and transfer is not fun with the waiting. But as I said CFC always try to find a solution where they can if fertilisation or donor response is poor.
Yes the weather is terrible but it's winter so I wasn't expecting much. Hang in there honey.
    Em x

Sounds like I was lucky having appointments early in the new year.

Only ever 3-4 people. I could imagine it packed full of people though. Eyebrows raising, eyes flitting and watching.

How are my fellow TWW buddies going?
I had a drama arriving home ...my luggage didn't arrive into Melb with all my gestone. I'd thought I'd packed 4 dosages in my carry on 'just in case' but packed all the swabs, needles etc and forgot the bloody gestone 😥 'Luckily' they lost it in Perth and not overseas so it was put on the next flight which got in at 5am, so I got no sleep as I was quite distraught being well over 24 hours between injections and having to pack up the whole family at 4am to go to the airport to get my bag... But at least it was there.
Lisa I hope things are progressing ell with fertilisation etc.
EmmaJane, Cathy, Hopeful...hope you're all going well. Thinking of you guys x
