EmmaJane: I understand your disappointment but try to keep positive. We had seven eggs at EPU of which only four fertilised which we were so disappointed with at the time. We were on course for a day three transfer but when I got on the table, our doc said he thought we could hold out for day five which we did and we had two transferred. None to freeze unfortunately but the good news is that one of those precious eggs 'took' and I am now 30 weeks pregnant! So, keep the faith!
Emski: Good luck with the trip. I think you're flying SAA so remember to take plenty of reading matter for the wait in Perth!
TannyMac, Hopeful and Lisa: Good luck with your trips as well! I hope everything goes well for you, enjoy CT and hope you all come back with an extra passenger (or two) on board.
I'm with KMP, enjoy CT but definitely use common sense while you're there. We asked the people who ran our first lot of accommodation about safety and they definitely recommended not walking around after dark (except in the touristy areas like the Waterfront, etc). Likewise be careful where you drive after dark. We stuck to this and have to say we never felt unsafe while we were over there.
Blinky: Can't believe you're up to 18 weeks already, time flies. Hope you're feeling well.
Hello to everyone else.

I have been a bit quiet around here of late so thought I would add an update as I read everyone's posts.
We'll I am another in CT right now (so many of us we MUST be collectively changing the accent by now ) and had egg pickup last Friday with trfr scheduled for tomorrow. Like everyone I would love to have 25 eggs collected but that has never been the case with any of my cycles OE or DE and Dr LeRoux keeps on about quality not quantity - that is a long way if saying, we got 10 eggs, 9 fertilised and 8 have continued to grow which is a relief in itself. Like most here, I think I would be happy with 2trfrd and 2 frozen but hey, anything I get is better than what I produced so I am not complaining !
I have also been indulging in the great food and hit the Nelson Hotel for high tea yesterday which was a very genteel and luxurious experience if anyone is looking for more pampering! A word of warning though, it constitutes 2meals in quantity so skip with lunch or dinner to make the most of it !
This is my 3rd trip to CT so I am just about out of tourist things to do, and the weather today is wet so it is off to a day spa for more luxury and relaxation as part if getting in the embryo-trfr zone.
Lots of baby dust for everyone, wherever you are !
Good on you Cathy!
Any good spa recos? My dh is gearing up to find a pub to watch the football on on sat in Ct. I might need to get some pampering lined up
Cathy I almost hugged my doctor for small numbers like that.
That means the eggs could mature nicely and the donor was not overstimulated. Large numbers aren't optimal.
Sounds to me that your doctor got it just right. I'm sure you'll be happy with your finsl numbers.
Enjoy your time there.
Cathy69, after your recommendation we are going to do the afternoon tea today since it is rainy and miserable. I am looking forward to it

Perfect day for it EmmaJane ! Enjoy .
Hopeful - I am going to a beautician in the Constantia Shopping Village called View (they have a website) and I believe one called Constantia Beau is also good but I think any of the hotel spas would be pretty acceptable !
