I can't get through many novels these days. DS had a 5 day stay in hospital a few years ago and I got half way through game of thrones. I was loving it but didn't really have to the time to pick it up again after that. I used to read all of Michael Connelly's books but I can't even get through one of them these days.

LOTR are the only books ever that I have started reading and not finished! I finished the first one, and got a quarter of the way through the second one, and almost got bored to death.
Having said that, I read them when I was a teenager. I love The Hobbit, and I love all the movies. So maybe I should give it another go...

LOTR are some of my fave books. There is a point in the second one where I almost gave up as it was like trying to read the bible (no offence to the religious, it's just a tough read!). But so glad I stuck with it! By the end of the 3rd I was so sad it was over.

IT! I without fail stop halfway through. I must've tried a dozen times I think. Actually the only Stephen King I ever got through was Carrie.

I really struggle to read adult books these days since having DS. It breaks my heart.

I've actually gotten through a lot of these books like Game of thrones, lord of the rings etc. I found those ones easier to read after having seen a season/movie as I was more invested in the characters.

I have little patience - if I don't get into a story pretty quickly, I lose interest and don't finish. Sometimes I just need to be in the right mood for the type of book it is.

Some of my list that are in my bookshelf.
    Anna Karenina
    Atonement
    Cloud street
    All the Kings men
    The idiot

This! I hated The Da Vinci Code. I got half way through and gave up.

Yep, I suffered through Cujo years ago . I thought, Stephen King is a big deal, this will get better. Nope!

What is wrong with you people! Stephen King is awesome. It was the first SK book I read I think, I pretty young when I read it too.
And Cujo... oh so sad in the end.
