    Default Books you couldn't finish

    Another thread got me thinking.

    What books have you been unable to finish/ understand the fuss..

    For me:

    the Twilight series, I tried reading the 1st one- didn't get the hype at all, I thought it was so corny

    And..

    We Need To Talk About Kevin- just couldn't get through it

    I'm sure there's more..

    Anyone else?

    I really liked casual vacancy!

    I've struggled to get through the Game of Thrones books.... The tv series is so much better! And I usually prefer books over tv/movie versions!

    Also didn't get the hype about Twilight...sooooo poorly written.

    Oh yes game of thrones I couldn't do either. I put that down to dd being very high demand as a small baby when I was trying to read it so vowed to try again later. She is nearly 2 and I haven't picked it up again yet!

    The Da Vinci Code...just couldn't get into it. Never understood what the hype was about.

    Lord of the Rings Trilogy. Not my thing at all.

    I'm another who couldn't get through Game of Thrones due to a demanding baby. I also gave up on Charles Dickens A Tale of Two City.

    Anything by Marian Keyes. I normally like that genre and fly through books but hers just don't do it for me
