    When I was having DD1, the midwife guessed the correct gender for all 3 of us in the maternity room from heart rate. She said it's not accurate until 3rd trimester though so heart rates early on don't count. In saying that 3 of my 4 daughters had HR over 150 and 1 was under.

    DS was always 160+ so it didn't work for us.

    I have a DD and pregnant with a 2nd girl. Heart rate wives tale correct both times. HCG was also higher

    Worked for me - 120 from the beginning and only occasionally has been higher than 140, confirmed boy.

    yep it was right for me. DD was always high. Both DS's were lower all the way thru

    Just found out This baby is a girl and her heart rate has been 130 most of the pregnancy

    I don't know but my sister tried and it was a wrong guess.
