A&S I wouldn't worry yet, like the others have said it is early and you can't read too much into it. I had 23 follicles, 16 "mature" and only collected 3 eggs. All 3 fertilised though and I got my DS from the first and froze the remaining two. Remember it only takes one to make a baby and it really is quality not quantity that you want. Also they won't start you on too high of a dose of meds first go due to the risk of OHSS so they will see how your body reacts on a lower dose as a precaution. Unfortunately you just need to ride it out and hopefully you will get some positive results.

NizzleRizzle, yes I will no doubt POAS, I would like to think I could hold out but I know I won't make it through next weekend. Bt 1 June

    Thanks @NizzleRizzle

had my EPU this morning, got 4 eggs which was a lot less than I was expecting seems as far as I am aware my problem has always been with the adenomyosis and implantation. I was confident I would get a larger number of eggs this time, so feeling very deflated at the moment. Fingers crossed on the fertilisation which I will find out tomorrow

Transfer today, all 3 were starting to compact, so have 1 emby on board & the other 2 have been frozen. PUPO so time to relax & keep fx. BT 3 June but may POAS the night before @NizzleRizzle, as I'll be at work that day when I get the call...

    fingers crossed for you! @nickilee
I had 7 follicles this time and I thought this was on the lower side but the FS said it is about average, and would be especially good if you get an egg from each folli. Which unfortunately we didn't but as far as 9 follicles goes that sounds like great numbers?! I would have been happy with that @A&S
Sounds like a nice day :-) they can be so few and far between with all this stress, fingers crossed for you @Ky kel
thanks @SoReady that makes me feel so much better hearing your story. I was expecting alot more eggs this time and only got 4 yesterday so now nervously waiting for the embryologist to call this morning. I wasn't stressed about this part last time but now I'm really feeling it. I hope I also get quality over quantity
How are you going @NizzleRizzle? Are you doing a natural FET cycle? x

Haven't been on here for some time. Probably since our cancelled cycle at the end of March.
I'm currently 3dp5dt with 1 of 2 embryos we got at EPU. Sadly I was told yesterday that the remaining embryo did not make it to freeze(not exactly sure what happened there and was too upset to ask) so now we are hoping like mad that the little
Emby on board is a fighter and sticks as it will be some time before we can afford another full stim cycle 😔
Feeling a little overwhelmed by it all.
Trying to stay positive and not stress but at the same time feeling nervous and sad that we had nothing to freeze

Hi @stolz seems like you're in a similar situation to me. I had my transfer Friday and will hear how my other embie is going Monday but it wasn't as strong on day 3 as they like. Hope it's just a little slow and by tomorrow it's caught up. TWW now and the 4th of June can't come quick enough... Saying my little mantra "stray strong, attach and grow!"

Hi everyone. Just had some crushing news and have to make a decision asap (although i think I've made up my mind). My FS isn't confident about getting into my ovaries without hitting an endometrioma. There are only two follicles big enough to maybe contain mature egg. I have to decide in the next hr or so whether to cancel this cycle which would mean I'd definitely need to have more endo surgery to remove cysts before trying IVF again, or take the trigger tonight and let the FS decide on Monday if she can access the follicles - and if so it may only be ONE. And then it's my decision if I want to go ahead for just possibly one or no eggs...

I'm leaning more on the lets go for it and try our luck for one egg. It may be a super egg. My lining is nice and thick - 12mm (?), so if it fertilises then maybe it'll stick. I dunno... I just feel like we don't know anything until we try, and if I decide to cancel now then it's 100% certain I need to have another big laparoscopy, and I really really don't want to go through it again I'm so devastated. I don't know which would be more devastating cancelling and not knowing or going ahead and having nothing come out of it.

Has anyone else been faced with a similar situation? If so how did you deal with it?

That's a tricky one Mink My second cycle was going to be cancelled as although i had a lot of follies there was only one big enough so we were going to be lucky to get an egg. Because my 1st cycle was cancelled i decided to risk it. 4 eggs, 1 5 day embryo and my now beautiful 2 and half year old daughter. It's a tough call and i knew it was a gamble but just went with what was in my heart. Best of luck xoxo
