Default The Fertility Centre, Sunshine Coast - anyone

I am about to embark on the IVF journey with The Fertility Centre (TFC) on the Sunshine Coast.

Is anyone else on here going through TFC, what has been your experience, are there any ladies who have had success, anyone starting soon????

I attempted IVF almost 10 years ago at Hunter IVF in Newcastle and wasn't happy with the experience at all.

My DH and I have been trying on and off since late 2001 and I will be 35 years old this year so really gotta make this happen soon.

Anyone else who wants to chat/support each other would be great. Also, anyone who has experienced long term TTC and how you cope would also be appreciated. My DH is very excited but I am somewhat more reserved, unable to feel excitement because I am worried about the sheer devastation if this doesn't work.

    Hi nturnbull1

I was just wondering if you went and started your cycle with the clinic on the Sunshine Coast yet? And how it was all going? Are you happy with the clinic/drs?

Is yours just a simple ivf cycle if you don't mind me asking?

My fiancé and I have previously done a few icsi cycles through ivf australia at Gosford on the central coast with no success, but unfortunately cannot afford the thousands of dollars that some clinics cost for this so we were thinking of seeing if the clinic on the Sunshine Coast offers it.

I hope that your cycle is going smoothly if you have started and will keep my fingers crossed that you get a positive result.

We have just done 2 rounds with them. How are you going with it all?

    Hi everyone,
just wondering how everyone is going with their cycles at The Fertility Centre? I just had a failed FET at Fertility Solutions, and now have to do a fresh cycle again. Was thinking of going here as the expense is getting crazy.

COBBA86 how are you going? Have you done any more rounds with them? How are you finding the low stimulation protocol? I did a high stimulation with FS and had egg retrieval under general, and ended up with two frosties. So I just wonder if the low stimulation would take me more rounds to achieve a pregnancy
ahhhh some days I wish we could just fall pregnant the old fashioned way

anyway, I hope you ladies are having much deserved luck with your cycles, any feedback would be much appreciated. I would love to chat!

Hi all, sorry I never replied and have been quiet. We found out after my DH had his test that he has absolutely no sperm! We retested and nothing!!! I would never recommend this place after having the FS simply call and say, well we got your DH's results and he has no sperm. I asked for reasons why, I was floored and he was so flippant about it all. Told me no point for the appointment the following week when we were supposed to get our results back, just you will simply have to go with our full service centre. I will never use their full service centre, I will go to anyone else except this FS because of his insensitive way of telling us news which was the equivalent of receiving news someone had died!

    Hi everyone
I am currently on my first cycle with TFC. I am happy with their service and find the nurses lovely.
Of course I'd prefer the full cost option however the price difference is too big and at least this way we can have a few goes (hopefully we won't need it!).
My concern is I have a very high egg count so will probably be cancelled due to overstimulation... If this is the case I will try another cycle with them :-)
I am a bit nervous about the ER if it goes ahead though!

Have you heard FS had a sister company called Affordable IVF. That's who we are using now.

Collecting my first lot of meds on Thursday.

I had my cycle cancelled with TFC, due to overstimulation/OHSS. They've been very supportive and already booked for round two!
