    Gotta love that panic buying.
I got shoved out of the way in my woollies today by a mum with kids diving for the batteries. I let her have them as we actually didn't lose power in an area where many did.
We got no text or phone warning at all and we are on the flats in a badly affected but not flooded area. Don't know how they choose who gets the SMS.

We're in western sydney and have just had a lot of rain and wind but no damage thankfully. There are a number of lakes in my area and they're all so full but no threat to houses at this stage.

It was a wet drive to work this morning with some minor flooding across roads but was lovely to drive home without the windscreen wipers on. It's raining again now but not too heavily so hopefully that's the worst of it over!

Not sure where you are CMF but I'm in one of the worst affected areas. And when they say 'bad weather coming' on a weather report, I don't expect it to be the force of a cat 2 cyclone.

Very sad for the people who have died in this weather. I think QLD's early warning systems prevent these casualties.

Not sure when the tree on our house is going to be moved - could be days, simply because services are so stretched.

It's a priority thing. There are people still without power. People who have trees that have fallen and are inside their homes. We are fortunate compared to many others.

Fingers crossed that the veranda roof stays put until it can been attended to. In the meantime we have been advised not to go into the backyard simply because it's too unsafe.

    I can't believe it

I'm nervous, we've still got an enormous tree sitting on the roof of the verandah. Just hoping the roof stays put. All the extra rain is putting extra pressure on the already broken supporting beams.

This is very, very uncool. Let's hope it's gonna pass soon.
