I used to be a dog person. Then I got a cat! I love my dogs to bits (I have two) but my cat is so much more chilled out, is so cuddly and doesn't dig holes in our garden like our dogs!!! We have a domestic short hair so just lucky to get such an affectionate cat. I think you can tell when they are kittens....when we first met our cat he curled up on my lap straight away and he's still exactly the same.

    I'm a dog person!

To many bad experiences with cats, particularly when I was young.

The thing that makes me dislike cats even more at the moment is that atleast dogs are contained in your backyard but cats can just go anywhere and often do! On my street, the cats seem to have decided that our front yard is the perfect replacement for kitty litter. Absolutely disgusting! Atleast my dog's poop is contained in my backyard but it's a pain that I have to clean up after other peoples cats ... Especially when I hate them!

Dogs! Especially big dogs. I love how cuddly they are. There is nothing about dogs I don't love, I don't think they have a doggy odour (or I'm just used to it lol), I don't mind being licked or jumped on. If my council didn't have limit to 2 dogs I would have loads of them!
Also have a cat which I love but I just don't think they show much emotion apart from jumping on my lap occasionally. He makes me laugh though he's very silly.

Cat person for sure. I like dogs but not when they slobber all over me. I know some cats are aloof but ours is beautiful, gentle and affectionate. She's siting with me right now!

Cats. They are less likely to maul and kill you. I like dogs but cats are happy to do their own thing, dogs need to much attention.

Cats. I'm not a dog person at all.

Not a fan of dogs because they lick, sniff, slobber, jump and bark. They smell bad when they need a bad and they dig holes.

We have 1 cat. She is very chilled. Loves her cuddles but also loves her alone time. Sociable when she wants to be with other people but not in an annoying way. She will leave people alone if she sees they don't want anything to do with her.

I love both but I'm more of a cat person. I've got two and they are so beautiful, low maintenance and they keep me entertained!

I've had some beautiful dogs over the years as well. We don't have one at the moment as I don't have time for one. Hopefully we will get one in the next few years.
