Default Am I crazy? My 8 day challenge...

Your post made my head hurt! Haha. Especially as I look at my kitchen!

Sounds like a great idea if you can do it! It will make life once school goes back so much easier.

    Wow, good luck!

I love batch cooking, but it's so hard with a DH (and often kids) who refuse to eat the same meal twice in a week.

I've been wanting to do something similar but just enough for at least 2 weeks. I'm pregnant and lazy but don't want to eat crap so my slow cooker has finally been used. So far I've made an epic size batch of bolognaise sauce - fed my son and I on the day it was made plus 10 containers went into the freezer. Have also made satay chicken and froze 2 serves of that but would like to do more because it tastes so damn good!

I think it's a brilliant plan @harvs! I'll be reading along. I might even be inspired enough to try something similar on the long weekend.

Here I was feeling good about cooking tomorrows dinner today to ease the first day back shock!! If you managed it this would make a huge difference, especially with term 2 being so busy with reports and carnivals

@harvs you have inspired DP and I to clean out the upright freezer. All frozen carbs have been binned and we will be re-stocking with some bulk home made meals for DP as she follows a high protein low carb lifestyle 😄 Looks like we have a day of cooking different proteins ahead!

I had this saved onto my Facebook wall, in the event that I ever got organised to do it.
I find it hard to find the time to do a lot of batch cooking and even then I never feel like eating what's been cooked.

Actually, in truth, I often make double quantities in order to put half in the freezer but DH eats 3/4 of it!!!

I do this fairly regularly. I tend to cook most my meals in large foil trays with with lids. I usually make between 20 to 40 meals in one go. I have done some raw ones too.

Do you have a slow cooker/crock pot?

Have thought of making a Mexican/Italian mince that could be made into...
    A pie
    A pasta
    A chilli con corner
    Shepherd pie
    Taco
    Tortilla stack
    Rolled in lettuce/cabbage leaves
    With rice
    On toast etc...

If making for several weeks make 4 of each meal.
