Default How old were you and hubby when you had your first?

Just out of curiosity, I have a few questions:

1.how old were/are you and your hubby going to be when you had/have your first baby?
    2. How old were you when you started the journey? (You can answer 2 even if 1 is not yet imminent)

I just feel like I left this to late for hubby and I feel like I am more in a rush because of his age although he is really not that old.

    2. Hubby 39; me 28.

Hubby had his first with 21. Not planned - his ex didn't take the pill (she was older). Whoops lol

Maybe because he has two teenage kids I feel bad for him having a newborn at 40/41 again but he really seems to want this too.

I was 25 he was 33 with our first. We now have another newborn and he is 44. He's loving it and we have zero regrets.

Don't feel bad for him. He's still young, he's not 70 lol

DP is 28 and I am 29. We will start the IVF process towards the end of this year. Hopefully our first bub will be born before DP turns 30, or not long after. I will carry the second bub and I think I will probably be around 32 or so when that bub is born.

    1. Fell preg when i was 18 and dh was 21. Dd1 was born exactly 1 week before my 19th birthday.

    2. We were not ttc but not preventing either. Dh had been told it would be a miracle if he ever fathered a child so we never used protection. I fell pregnant 3 months after missing the depo shot. So I had literally only JUST turned 18.

When our firsts were born I had just turned 25, DF was 30.
We started trying when I was 23 and he was 27.

DF has a very good mate who had 2 boys quite young- they are I think 19 and 17 now and he has two young boys- 4 and 5 with his "new" wife. He is 41 now.

Life just works that way sometimes. Don't feel bad for your DH! If he was having to go through a high risk pregnancy feel sorry for him. But since his input into the pregnancy stage is minimal (and fun!) he will be just fine
(And once the baby comes age will be the last thing on his mind!)

First (surprise baby)- We were 24
Second (Actively TTC - fell after 2 weeks of having Mirena removed) we are 28.

My dads friend (so he's late 40s/early 50s) just had his very first child last year and is absolutely loving it!!

    1. I was 32 DH was 33
    2. We started trying when I was 28 & DH was 29. Took a while!
We want to get cracking with #2 as I would like to be done being pregnant/BF before my late 30's.
I don't think age is as big an issue for men as it is for women. For me the physical aspect of carrying a baby & BF takes it's toll & TBH I'm a bit worried how my body will go for the next one being that bit older.
