    Default Asthma questions

    I agree, seek a second opinion. It definitely sounds like a preventer is needed. Like Zombie eyes, DS1 starts using his preventer at this time of year and throughout winter. It significantly reduces his need for relievers. He was diagnosed at about age 3.

    We were told 6 as well, and to qoute the doc "2 puffs will do nothing". They've definitely changed the guidelines.

    I see the paed tomorrow so will ask him the GP gave this script. It's bit warmer tonight she seems ok but once it's cooler she goes horrible! The poor thing

    If it's worse in cooler weather, that's a sign of asthma. This sounds just like my DS was. He's still on a preventer, but his symptoms are so much better since he go older (he's 5 now)
