Something needs to be done though, something that has an impact on all anti vaxxers, not just the poor ones.

Seriously it won't even cross the rich radars. It not going to affect them one bit.

A know this measure is to save money not lives.

Critically think.. I find a lot of people views of parents of non immunized children to be lazy or new age hippies lol. But majority of my friends are well educated & higher income earners.

If my newborn died due to a VPD contracted from one of your children or your friends children, I would want you charged with murder/manslaughter. Same as if you were doing something as stupid as speeding and hit a child.

That, however, is why I am not a law maker.

And if your child contracted a VPD from my child who was vaccinated it would be all ok?

Actually, yes. Because there would have been an attempt to prevent the spread of it, an attempt to preserve my newborns life, an attempt to be part of stopping a deadly disease. There would have been some acknowlegement that you have a responsibility to society and an attempt to uphold that responsibility.
There would not have been a conscientious objection to something that COULD have saved my kids life. And you chose your right to object over my newborns right to life.

I think many of the anti-vaxers who make that choice are usually more wealthy than those who simply do it because they couldn't be bothered. So hopefully by hitting their hip pocket, they will be bothered to do it.

I don't consider most anti vaxxers as lazy. I find most of them love their kids and truly believe they are doing the right thing. They have only the best intentions. But there is huge gaps in their understanding in the research and I often find them highly impressionable and paranoid. Some of the anti vax arguments are not only not factual but are completely irrational.
