We've never used childcare so we aren't affected in that way whatsoever. Im TERRIFIED of vaccinating my kids as I said due to things I have seen, horrifying things , otherwise I would have. I would die for my precious children, I've had a 4 week old with whooping cough (caught from a vaccinated child who suffered way more than my baby did) It's not an easy decision and one that we still revisit all the time. At this point in time with me sick I am so grateful we can get assistance for the first time in 16 years of parenting. Forced medical intervention is not ok.
What happens when one of these kids that are now having to be vaccinated to keep their families afloat due to hitting a rough patch or whatever has a severe reaction?
I am actually pretty comfortable with it being blackmail. Whatever it takes to get people to vaccinate works for me.
I just can't with comments like "I've seen first hand what vaccinations do". How on earth could anyone without a background of some scientific or medical basis make a comment like that? It's just scandalous and scare-mongering.
I'm amazed we can live in such an enlightened society and people still can't see the benefits of vaccinations.

But it's not black and white. If you take the time to read other posts, you will see that. We have never been in the lower income bracket until the last month, that's in 16 years of parenting and 23 years of working life. If I force myself to go back to work now I WILL end up in hospital and we will be in an even worse situation. My husband earns a high income but we have always had a double income until I got sick (which I have been on and off for a few years but only just recently had to make the hard decision to leave work.)
But people's circumstances change all. And then hard decisions have to be made about what the family can and can't continue to do. Unless this government assistance is needed for food and to provide accommodation I'm sorry but I just don't have a problem with the government cutting it off.
We've taken our kids out of after school activities when money was tight. It's not great but it's what we've had to do.
Tell that to the parents of severely vaccine damaged children 😓
I love it how people have all the empathy/sympathy in the world for those who share the same world view but to the rest they can go and live on the street.

It is totally your choice in the end but I wonder if you may want to speak to an open minded dr (if you can find one!) about the vaccinatons, the reactions to them and also you can discuss the reactions you have seen as well (I am saying this not to convert you to pro vax but to discuss what can cause these reactions etc).
I overall support the changes though.
