I am currently 34 weeks pregnant in what has already been classified as high risk.
Three weeks ago my DS broke out in a rash and was feeling nauseous. It was suspected to be chicken pox and confirmed with a blood test. He only got a mild case as he was vaccinated.
This lead to me having blood tests to check my immunity. Thank God I had been vaccinated because it also protected my new baby.
Since then 2 co workers have had chickenpox and their reactions were quite bad due to not been vaccinated.
I got my whooping cough vaccine 2 days ago because I dont want to take risks when it comes to my children and all family that will have contact with the new baby have taken the same step without been asked or any discussion needed.
My point is you are not just protecting yourself or your child but also others you come into contact with.
Exactly ^^^ I also cannot build immunity to the chicken pox vaccine. I have tried 9 times including the one I had as a child.
When I was pregnant I was always freaked out when there is an outbreak and will when I get a sticky 3rd bubs...
I have seen a lot of Hitler references when relating it to this issue. I just cannot fathom a person who would be so ignorant as to link the removal of government benefits to genocide. 😳
Not in this post obviously...on facebook.
Just got our letter this morning regarding this. I am terrified of having our children vaccinated but at this point in time with me sick, we actually do for the first time in a long time receive some ftb and it would be hard to live without it with 5 busy busy children with their sports and dance etc and medical costs plus currently paying for two houses. It won't be long before I can work again hopefully - I have worked continuosly for 23 years before anyone comments, up to 40 weeks with all 5 kids. Unsure what to do.
