That page must have the highest rate of insanity in members than any other FB page that exists. The most recent thread would be hilarious if these people's actions weren't so dangerous and deluded. Bc we are all sheep (which I find ironic given they blindly follow anecdotes and tin foil hat blogs) and it's actually all us vaccinated people that are causing the outbreaks *snort*

I debated for about 10 secs then decided not to bother. They delete and block you if you even slightly hint a pro vax stance. And it's like talking to a brick wall anyway. They are so deluded nothing you say, however intelligent or factual, will sway them. All it does is feed their paranoia and victim mentality.

There is some truth to that in the case of whooping cough, particularly adults who have previously had the vax and think they are ok, they develop the symptoms, think they just have a cold and spread it. I have liaised with public health over 4-5 whooping cough cases in which all were fully vaxxed children for whom vaxxing was ineffective or a different strain, these children spent time in a childcare facility before it was identified. If they are serious this needs to be acknowledged, they need to add adult boosters to the schedule and look at it's effectiveness due to Pertussis mutations.

Agree, the rate is around 15% of people who are vaccinated and can still get it. There also needs to be more consistent information. I've had a few people tell me since I had whooping cough in the last fortnight that their GPs advice to them is that they don't need a booster if they've had whooping cough as a kid, when in fact having it doesn't produce lifelong immunity and boosters are still required.

My dad and step mother are these people. I'm uneducated and don't have all the facts like they do because I vaccinate my kids 😂

Do you mean adults that have been previously vaxxed for WC and are no longer covered? Therefore not vaxxed?

No vaccine is 100% effective, including this vaxx. Yes there are going to be people it doesn't work for that then get WC. But the success rate for holding immunity is 80%, which is from memory the lowest of all vaxxes, but 80% is still pretty good. I'd much prefer 20% of vaxxed people be not covered than 100% bc no one is vaxxing at all. I fully agree the mutations need to be addressed and they are. It was taken off the free vax register about 3 years back bc it's effectiveness had markedly dropped. That doesn't mean we stop vaxxing our kids. The scientific community are continully working on re-developing the vaccines for the mutations.

Thanks btw for your input into this thread. We stand on complete polar opposites on this topic but I admire that you are willing to discuss from the other end without getting angry. We will never ever agree but at least you are willing to stand up for your stance.

This gave me a chuckle but is pretty fitting how I see the anti vax arguments
