You're doing such a great job and you have come so far. No doubt it will still be a tough road but you're far enough in that you can't turn back. Be strong hun, he still knows you love him

I almost gave in before. He was asking and miserable. But I have him a lolly instead and big cuddles. Then distracted him with a bath. So far so good. His nap today was horrible. He kept whimpering.

Bedtime went much better tonight. Only an hour to get him down. Poor thing is not happy about it though. He was pushing me away the whole time but the screaming got worse if I moved away. It is so hard to comfort him.

Possibly too late to be helpful but I went on Loette (oral contraceptive pill) when I was close to weaning. I rang the breastfeeding drug guru guy at monash on 03 9594 2361 to check it's safety and just in the course of our conversation he said it was safe but also that it was frequently used as a weaning agent for persistent feeders because it drops your milk supply really quickly. I certainly noticed a marked drop in supply very quickly when I used it.
Might be worth a try as if you have no milk left then he will quickly give up on the idea however obviously call the above and check my facts first!

Thank you @mum2one99. I would look into it but I can not take the pill. But I'm sure my gp will be able to give me something to help me dry out. If for no other reason than to prevent mastitis. I have been expressing twice a day and he has only been getting 30ml to 50ml a day. I can not get more than 30ml.

Well it has been a few days. What only 3. Ds2 had the best sleep even last night. Only woke once. This morning he climbed into bed with me and went back to sleep. No fuss or anything. It was bliss. Thank you all for your support. I really thought it would be harder than this.

First day back at daycare. He had been home 15min and asked for booby. I said no and he hit the roof! Dh has intervened thankfully. I was about to give it to him. So we still have a way to go.
