I don't think it has to show on your payslip but they do have to tell you what your leave balance is when you ask.

Can you carry any unused over to the next year?

Do you need to show a medical certificate?

We have some people at my work take a sickie everytime they accrue enough leave for one day. It is very obvious. I can't begin to imagine what it would be like if they could do that with 10 weeks. They would could be "sick" one day per week.
    It's a University. I think it accrues. I think I have something like 1000hrs??
You only need a dr certificate for more than 5 days off in a row :-)

We get 10 or so per year (or whatever the current agreement is) plus there's special leave for various things (ie compassionate leave & pre natal leave). We can take 5 days per year without a certificate.

Leave rolls over too, I think I have about 6 months worth accrued since I've been with my employer for 11 years - with a toddler & another bub on the way, I am using it wisely!

DP gets 15 sick days and a few fac leave days too. All accrue. Plus probably some bereavement leave. DP is a public servant.
