Default Help! Is this meat ok?

I bought a pork roast on Saturday, it has a used by date of April 12th.

Today I noticed some of the vacuum seal around the pork is lose.

Does this mean the meat is off?

I smelled it and I *think* it has a smell to it BUT because in my head the meat may be off I might be imagining the smell if you know what I mean...

Just because the vacuum seal has been broken doesn't mean it is off. It does mean the life span won't be as long had the seal remained intact.

Honestly? As long as it was just a maybe there is bit maybe there isn't smell then I would have cooked it up and hoped for the best. But I would have a back up just in case it started to smell more and if I decided not to dish it up then it would go to the dog.
