Oh I also regularly look up famous customer's addresses and then google map their house so I can see where they live

I'm not even going to ask how that one would work...or why!?! Your poor DH.

Oh oh when I used to work at the cinema I was soooo naughty!

I used to hide in the giant fridge/freezer in gold class and make mini antipasto plates and scoff them, or eat malteasers.

If there was ever too many cocktails made they would get stealthily consumed out the back.

We watched movies all the time without paying, and if we went when we did pay we would usually wave to the kitchen boys and get sent plates of food.

    That was the best job!

First day in a new job I was sent to photocopy something. No problems, I thought. I photocopied my document and then suddenly what seemed like a zillion pages started coming out. I panicked, thought I must have done something wrong and quickly cancelled the photocopier job.

5 minutes later, my boss starts swearing that they've lost the huge document they'd just printed... Turns out the photocopier was also the printer. Oops. I busied myself with a customer and pretended not to have heard.

I personally haven't done this but a colleague looked up a famous persons account to see how much money was in there. Totally illegal and unethical I felt guilty just hearing him tell me. It was a heck of a lot of money though.

Years ago when I was a fairly new property manager I put a family in a rental, I did all the data base checks and called the 'private landlord' numbers provided on the application - it checked out ok and they were approved, signed paperwork and moved in.

Then one night soon after I was watching the Perth version of some sort of today tonight when I saw the new tenants at their old rental that they had completely trashed ( there was a reporter with the private landlord doing one of those lets confront them shows) it was awful!!!!

Nope the tenancy did not end well.

I looked at a famous persons credit card statement (which was left on the photocopier by a colleague by mistake) to see how much they spent on a much publicized engagement ring to another much more famous person. it was a lovely thrill and I couldn't wait to tell my dh when I got home lol

A coworker snuck into the bosses office when he wasn't there and read people's staff appraisals. I did not join him!! But I did let him recant the details :/

I worked at hogs breath when I was a teenager and whenever I or somebody else working there accidentally ordered 2 x meals or the wrong meal (happened quite a lot) we just were told to throw it away, so I would take it over to the bin and stand there scoffing my face quickly before anyone came in
I also used to work in a local pub when I was at Uni doing Friday and Saturday nights I would have a glass of lemonade and then add a dash of vodka when no one was looking. I once had a few too many and was a bit tipsy when I left at 1am, still managed all my orders correctly though!

Yes totally unethical to be looking up a clients personal details and using it for your own personal jollies like that. It's stuff like this I find horrid not funny.

Infact I'm starting to find this thread a little off and not funny at all. Young kids making stupid decisions - meh. Grown adults blatantly stealing stuff from employers that would not have otherwise been thrown out ... and mis-using confidential customer information - not funny Jan!
