Default Waiting for AF after clomid and ovidrel

    Hi,

I am wondering whether anyone has been in a similar situation and can tell me how long you had to wait for your AF.

I got my periods on 1st March. Started taking clomid 50mg from day 3. Went for a scan on on day 9 showing one 12mm follicle then another one on day 12 showing it had grown to 15.5mm. I was given the ovidrel injection to give myself at home on the Sunday morning (day 15) so in theory I should have ovulated on the Monday.

I did pregnancy test last Monday (14 DPO) and Wednesday (16 DPO) which both turned up negative. Now on Sunday 20 DPO and still no periods. I have accepted that not pregnant but would have thought AF would definitely have shown up by now.

    Any thoughts?

I'd always had my period by then when the clomid/ovidrel cycle hadn't worked. Are having regular bloods too? Doesn't sound like it. Maybe ask for some, to see what your levels are.

I have always had AF arrive after the Clomid/Ovidrel combo. My FS gives me a form to have a blood test on CD 28 to check hcg/progesterone levels, but as my cycles are usually 25/26days I never make it that far. I would ask for a blood test from your doctor. At least then you'll know if you're just waiting for AF or if you're pregnant. Good luck

Thanks for the feedback. I'll give doctors a call later this week if no success.
