@tuxcat Not long now until you can tell your boss to "Take this job and Shove It!!!" Can't wait to read your update r.e her reaction!!!

Good Girl about being more determined and assertive r.e your Cycles from here on in. You absolutely have to be your own advocate sometimes Luv, especially when you're dealing with FS's that are conservative plus I do understand being a low cost Clinic that they want to keep their running costs down.

However, you'll be the one paying for the meds to do a basic immune protocol anyway, so they'll have no leg to stand on that score IMO. As to the meds used, is the FSH the new FS prescribed the same as what you've been using?? Or is it just the dosage that has changed?? Either way, it's not like they don't have all the different FSH available to them to use, so there should be no reason not to allow you to try something different.

As far as I'm concerned, just because a FS doesn't agree with a protocol is no excuse not to try it if everything recommended is within reason. My counter response to any opposition would go something like this: "I understand what you're saying and recommending, but I/we would like to try something different. I understand it may not make an ounce of difference and am willing to take the risk that we could get a worse result (if something like that is said) but again, DH and I have discussed this in length and we're willing to take that risk, so we'd appreciate your support in this"

Get in there Luv and give it to them!!

@Corbes hi, yes I did genea for 3 cycles and then RPA for another 8 cycles. As far as I know you can't choose your FS, my FS was a fellow but now he is a specialist. He was working under the doc who I was seeing at genea initially so the transition was pretty smooth. I don't know about PGD sorry. My out of pocket costs at RPA were about $1500 per stimulated cycle. Hope that helps

Its interesting that a lot of you are having problems with your body temperature at night as I am too. I have to change my singlet two or three times as I'm drenched in sweat. It doesn't seem to be related to how much I am wearing in bed as it happens if I'm starkers too. It seems to come and go.
@leyshoja great news that it is all booked!!! How long will you be out there for? Don't kick yourself about your old clinic we all try to do our best and have lost money and time. Its impossible to do this all 'perfectly'.
@Luckyme1 that is so frustrating!! Murphy's law. Hope the next collection goes more smoothly!
@Leisylou so sorry your follies didn't play ball best of luck with the IUI. Just keep thinking of Bertie!

    Hi everyone else!

No unfortunately @Bongley it is STILL not booked. They given me proposed dates but still no donor test results and now they want an ultrasound report from my dr who I've just found out has gone on holidays for 3 weeks ffs! They are worried about what appears to be cystic structures (which I've never had before)
I just want to book this frucken holiday !!!! Now I understand the stress and frustration that @emski72 has mentioned..

oh no, that is stressful can you go to a different doctor or do you have to wait for your FS??? At this stage it's enough to make you tear your hair out!

I have had a mini meltdown every week for the past two months I think. I feel like we are bleeding money from every corner and that I am under a stack of paper work but just nothing seems to be progressing. Nothing like trying to organise a donor cycle and find a house at the same time. Argh. Medicare, centerlink, health funds, solicitors, building reports, estate agents, online applications and passwords, bank cheques, rebates, forms, forms, forms! ARRGGGHHH Someone book me a holiday ASAP

Bring on spring. Hopefully there will be a bun in the oven for everyone

@Bongley just a quick one, have you been claiming your rebates back from cycles done thru Medicare? I'm just asking as we have actually been getting most of the $1500 back once over the safety net. I didn't realize we could do this until a few cycles into the first year and was then very very pleasantly surprised when I saw how much I got back. Just checking you know this.

Thanks @BlondeinBrisvegas thinking seriously about resigning today actually. I'm so over this place!!!

    Hi to all
hey @tuxcat you know I did NOT know that. I've always been registered for the safety net but I didn't know I had to send/take the invoices in. I get a medicare cheque to send to Genea so I figured that was the max rebate right there. SO they said I can claim up to five years, I better chase up RPA for some old reciepts! Thanks, look like I may owe you a few thousand.

Oh wow, I started ivf at westmead, which were low cost like rpa. I paid westmead up front, then they gave me a receipt after transfer and told me to claim from Medicare. Even told me how much I'd get back for first cycle and then subsequent once we'd reached the threshold!

We are at $71k out of pocket so far this financial year. I looked at that number and almost cried on the weekend!

Sorry I only have time for a me post, will catch up later. Picked up the u/s report from the X-ray clinic and it says I have 2 fibroids around 1cm each at the fundus of the uterus, one is is intermural, the other is subserosal, and a 23mm ovarian cyst which has gone from normal to having internal septation over the course of the week between the two ultrasounds. What does it mean ?!?! I'm super stressed we won't be going to CT in 4 weeks now !! Help meeeeeeee
