@mrsmac123, congratulations on your BFP! great to see you back
@tuxcat, inositol is 2g morning and 2g at night, calcium is 600mg, melatonin is 3mg (will need a prescription from your FS for this) and l-arginine 1 g morning and 1g night. We didn't have a huge number for CGH: there were 4 x day 5 blasties from the first cycle, but one hadn't hatched enough to be biopsied, so only 3 got done in the end. The second cycle I had only 1, and 2 in the third cycle. My clinic doesn't allow embryo banking, so I had to do 3 separate cycles with testing at the end of each.

    Thanks for the good wishes!

Thanks for all the replies. At 7 weeks it..still an it....still very distant...measured exactly 7 weeks with 130bpm..perfect apparently. It appeared to be right on top of or beside my 1.8cm fibroid but noone has seemed concerned or even mentioned it to me other than sonographer who said hes seen women riddled with them and bin ok.

I have had no concerns, no bleeding..., just nothing and the going away of all symptoms. I feel less "fat" even. I guess its just the quietness and disbelief in this nothing period.

Actually have only been seeing a GP this time around, she has been taking very close special care of me though when my hcg slowed down at 5.5 weeks she didnt seem aware this was normal...and I am just going to start antenatal at the base hospital next week. They have as good reviews as the privates. A few months ago I had a suspected 4th ectopic...how possible no bloody tubes? The OB thought it looked tucked up in the corner/armpit of my uterus where my tubes used to be..,,still have a stump....HCG was not rising well at all..I had to have 2x methotrexate shots in a hurry. I was so torn as it was all just suspected and he felt it was unviable due to hcg anyway so make sure and kill it with poison...I guess I hired him to keep me alive. felt like I wanted to wait but already was over 5 weeks remembering rupture that nearly killed me at 7....inside your uterus it blows the side out and there are main artèries there its even more dangerous. As it was I wss nearly 7 weeks and 1 day out from surgery when the methotrexate started to work. Because of that poison I could not ttc min 3 months!!! Anyway point of that was I was so nervous to be utd after my rupture 5 months b4 I insisted on OB but I rang nearly all in town and only 1 would/could see me b4 8 weeks and he was very cold, I took mum with me one day and she agreed I was not imagining it,,,, probly he was shielding himself too from my mournful situation. So this time around even though I have been actually traumatised? Lolol by being pregnant I am so much tougher about looking after MYSELF and went back to my old GP and had a very serious chat. I have been told the only high risk part is my age now and well there is nothing anyone can do for that, I am just as healthy physically as my 22 year old sister so see how we go. Plenty of younger women get diabetes etc might change if I get closer to birth

As for taking step by step.,, yeh 1st step was seeing how many embies implanted and where and trying to make sure one wasnt hidden in an ectopiccy spot. next heartbeat.,, already broke records...

My anxiety is terrible I just so want to have a crystal ball. Have only told family who knew about ivf and necessary pple at work .,, so much easier if I dont have to come up with bs. Its almost like if I tell pple something will go wrong as it had 6 times b4 so I find I have no interest in telling,,, not superstition just negative nelly....dont want to have to explain when it goes awry then make pple feel bettrr for not knowing what to say or hear the flippant comments

Hi midnite you seem like you are responding ok.,, I was nearly maxed out on gonal f and the best I got was 5, 4 mature, 4 fertilise, 2 transfer, 1 frostie.., only thing I did not see on your list was coq10 ..., I took blackmores conceive well which has it but in the end I took an extra 300-450mg a day....figured I had nothing to lose...stopped taking it after bfp as wasnt sure about it

Must say I didnt take anything else except vit d as last pregnancy I was found to be severely deficient...

@SpringRain thanks for that info. You did pretty well with 4 blasts from a cycle! My best effort is 2.
@midnite01 welcome back, I hope you have good luck in here. We are all in the 40s boat so I guess its a realistic group here. Given that you have had a baby your odds are most likely better, so was your daughter a natural pregnancy? Interesting that does seem to happen to some people when they switch off a bit. So hard to do though!!
I'd say for a low responder those numbers arent bad at all. Im also a low responder and my best cycles have been on 375 puregon and the Drs won't go any higher. They all say over a certain amount of FSH and it makes no difference but I disagree with that as whenever they have gone under the 375 it makes a quite a difference. SpringRain has mentioned melatonin, inositol and l-arginine which Im currently not taking, there has been a study on the combo of melatonin and inositol on increasing egg quality showing good results so those two at least might be worth a shot. They also say high protein / low carb diet helps, and then I think the rest is general good health and healthy living stuff. Its yet to prove a winner for me!!!

oh and vitamin e helps with your lining - this I feel has made a difference for me as my AF has improved in flow in recent months.

    Hi guys

thanks for the warm welcome. I have shifted to ubiquinol from coq10 ubiquinol is the active ingredient in coq10 so in its more pure form. I've been taking 300mg ubiquinol herbs of gold range.

ive had 4 isci cycles we usually only get 50% fertilisation or less.

our success cycle was antagonist using clomid for egg quality. I was on 300 puregon we got 3 eggs and 2 fertilised. I think it does come down to a numbers game. I'm envious of my ivf buddies that get a good crop of eggs but as my fa says we only need one.

our next cycle will prob be using elonva again with 450 puregon.

    have a good night all.

@Caesardust Here's a list of supplements my FS had me (and the rest of his ladies on) to maximise egg/sperm quality (if applicable)

For Her: Folic Acid (Megafol brand usually over the counter at the chemist) 1x5mg tab a day, Berroca 1x day (I substituted a Mega B capsule instead), Fish Oil 1000mg's a day, Zinc- 40mg's a day, Vitamin E 500mg's (1000iu) a day, Co-Enzyme Q10 200-400mg's a day (I did 300 mg's a day), Low dose aspirin 100mg's a day, DHEA 3x25mg caps a day, Melatonin 1x5mg capsule at night. I also added Vit D as I was low in it and Fresh Royal Jelly (1/2tsp a day) but you could take it capsule form too.

    For Him
: Aloe Vera Juice 20mls at night, Zinc 40mg's, Pumpkin seeds >10 per day (I just gave DP 1 tbs of peppita's every day), Folic Acid 5mg's a day, Goji berries 1xtbs a day or 20 mls a day of Goji berry juice, Selenium 100mcg/day.

You can take all of these right up until EPU (except the DHEA, you have to decrease to 1 capsule a day from Day 2 of stimms until EPU). The DHEA/Melatonin require a script for and need to be compounded at a pharmacy. Some BH's get them sent from overseas. I-Herb I think is where you can by them from?? Don't take DHEA if you're PCOS.

I used Cenovis brand Vit E. Hope this helps....

Welcome midnite01 and good luck with your cycle. I am not much help with supplements, all I take for TTC is ellevit and I take fish oil for other reasons. I have dabbled in others but really cannot be bothered taking things now after 3 years of TTC unless there is first class medical evidence for them. My two specialists only recommend folate, nothing else. I know there are Dr's that recommend much more eg Wazza (see Blondeinbrisvegas' list above).

Hi mrsmac123, it must be so nerve wracking after multiple loses wondering if this one is going to hang on but it's all positive for you so far and i hope it stays that way!

And hi there to all the other lovelies, hope you are all having a nice long weekend. I've got the in laws coming over shortly. MIL is bringing a roast duck. Gonna hop on the pinots round about now to prepare myself for the onslaught.

Welcome back Emski, will be anxiously awaiting your POAS activities.

Good luck for tomorrow Leisylou, hoping there are more follicles than you expect.

Hi Tuxcat, when do you give work the heave- ho?

Hi Bongley, Leyshoja, Chiefs, Winsor, Bib, MGC Bertie and Springrain!

Someone asked me what was the plan after my surgery on July 11th. Well I think we will go for a stim shortly thereafter just so I can say in a few years I tried my hardest. Meanwhile we're planning a European holiday for May next year when fertility efforts will be officially over. And I'm excited about that trip!

@Skyler Have a few vino' for me Luv and enjoy your roast duck Did she cook it herself?? I've never had roast duck as such, DP or my father usually have it in a chinese/thai dish of which I have forkful or two to taste test. LOL.

Your surgery will be here in no time at all Luv Now that you and DH are planning a trip, hopefully the Fertility Gods will intervene on your next Cycle with a sticky BFP!!!

@Leisylou Good luck with your scan in the morning Luv!!!! Thought I better get in early just in case I can't get back on the site to post until after your appointment. I'll be thinking of you

Hello to all the other Lovelies.......
