@Chiefsgirl Hello Luv... Looks like you've got it all pretty much sorted out by the looks of it That is a bit of a dilemma regarding which donor isn't it?? I understand about the weight concern. I have the same for my DD.

We have obesity on my (mum's) side of the family and my sisters and I have battled with our weight all of our lives Thankfully, DP's side is all good in that area and has height too as an added bonus!! I know all I can do for DD is make sure she eats healthily and exercises regularly, but I am scared for her. I don't want her to go through what I have if I can possibly help it. I still remember how hard it was at times at school and when I was a teenager

On the other hand, being predisposed to something doesn't mean that whatever it is will necessarily develop either, so there's that to consider too. I know your potential donor/ her family aren't obese, that's totally different from being built on the larger side (body frame wise) which might be all it is in her case???

Thanks for the restavit tip too Might have to give it a try and see how it goes I hate Pap tests too Luv...bleh!! I don't mind a bit of meditation myself. I find it helps calm me down sometimes. I also did the Hep B shots back when I was 17/18, bet I don't have any immunity to it now either

Good luck with choosing Luv. Sounds like you've still got a bit of time before you have to make a final decision

@leyshoja Lining is really good Luv!! I can understand where you're coming from and why you feel the way you do regarding choosing a donor. "Fixating" becomes your middle name I reckon when you're doing IVF, especially at transfer and through the 2WTorture!!!

@BlondeinBrisvegas - fixating is definitely the way to describe it. I think the relief will be overwhelming when I can finally stop thinking about this stuff.
As for the restavit - I have mixed opinions on it. It doesn't seem to do much for me (but I am a hard case), however my cousin has half a tablet a night and she reckons it puts her out cold !

Leisylou it sounds like you've already got a really good plan, try the first one soon and then if it doesn't work do the other and start while you're away. It makes sense and if it gives you a month of preparation that you feel you want, then do it. One month is probably not going to matter. Always best to go with your gut feeling, Ive rushed cycles in only to have dismal results because i should have waited a month, so I say its a good plan.

@the DE girls- I can see how it opens a huge can of worms having all those aspects to think about! My mum has been overweight all her life and has always dieted and eaten healthily, and she is 70 and has no health issues. Only a little unfit. I am a bit overweight because I eat too much crap and don't exercise enough to compensate, so I haven't really been handed the gene is what Im saying. Its my dads side that has the cancer, so its a very hard thing to gauge. I think there is a lot to be said for just looking after yourself and eating healthily. Stuff that you guys can teach as parents. But I can see how you want to eliminate as many potential issues as possible.

leyshoja that blu tac thing is hilarious! I was picturing waking up with it all through my hair like going to bed with bubblegum as a kid. Ive never had trouble sleeping, altho have had the nights of the 3am wakeup and thinking bad thoughts. Not good. i really sympathise.

This weather here in sydney is madness! so so gloomy and windy! happy to be home now and warm and dry

Im wondering how my follicles are going, a little bit of action down there but I think Im preparing for a very small number of eggs. Im scared! Just have to keep telling myself theres nothing more I can do...scan on friday morning

Hey Tux Cat - yeah that was me, I have the same username everywhere cos I'm lazy. Yeah the EB 40+ threads seemed to run out of puff a couple of years ago. Bubhub is much friendlier too I think x

@tuxcat Awww Luv I think most of us feel/have felt scared when Cycling, but like you said, you've done and are doing all you can So much of it is out of our control and that's what's hard to reconcile at times.
Anyhoo, I'm all appendages and sending huge helpings of you and your ovaries way and am hoping Fri's scan shows lots of luscious follies on the go!!

@leyshoja Yep, slamming the book shut on this journey will be liberating in every way Luv...physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually and financially and can't come fast enough for you (and all the other Lovelies here too) IMO.

I'm this FET is the final chapter in that book for you Luv
