Omg I have spent all afternoon looking at apartments in Honolulu! Found a great one right on the beach 45 mins drive from Honolulu which will be perfect and only 1100usd for 11 nights! It's right up our alley, away from the hustle and bustle, fully self contained. Good for snorkeling and hiking in the mountains. Yes!

Skyler I am sorry that you are feeling so down. I thought you had booked in for a second opinion or are you not going ahead with that?

Bongley and cheifsgirl you are starting to sound more positive about donors which is good.

Well, I've been having a look at the donor profiles (thanks @emski72 for the sites) and just starting to whittle it down... After this DE experience one of my criteria is for the donor to be under 28 yrs and to be a proven donor so that automatically narrows it down a lot. I'm getting to the point where I think there's no one who looks like me much at all, but a tonne of them seem to look like the girls in DP's family and I think that would be just fine too. I feel like I'm just biding time now waiting to get this last DE FET cycle over with so I can get on with it. Since I've already given up hope on it being successful and making my new plans, this will probably be the one that sticks - that seems to be how fate deals with me these days !! I still haven't made the move onto a donor SA thread - to be honest I seem to be flat out getting the time to even put comments on this one..
I hope everyone is going well and having positive thoughts about their next courses of action

Leyshoja also email the agencies when you're fully on board as they have donors who aren't currently cycling but may be when you're looking at going. You can also send a pic of you and DH and they can make suggestions. Our donor looks nothing like me but I went for same hair/eye colour - similar height and a better BMI and under 25. I wanted to choose someone I'd be happy to have a cuppa with from the sound of her profile. I think its impossible to find someone who looks like me.

Thanks @emski72 I've ready done all of that already. I'll have a BFP or BFN in 3 weeks and as soon as I have that it's all systems go! Funnily enough I'm not concerned much about their personality, more so the family health history, their size/ht/bmi and their fertility. We will parent the personality into them !! Lol

Hahahaha @leshoja! I am looking at taller girls than me, I'm 5.4 and dh is 6.2 and I hate being short, so hopefully if the donor is taller the child will be too!

Its all a big gamble isn't it, but we can only try. It is such a shame we can't see adult photos of them, that would make it so much easier. Or even just early teens would give a good idea. My DP is tall too, but I'm aiming for someone around my height 1.65m roughly (not sure about ft) because having a tall boy is fine but I don't know one tall woman who likes being tall. Although none of my friends are models either .
DP and I are both fit and healthy types so I don't want anyone particularly large - especially if they are early 20's and big already - I also worry about health problems if they are large later in life. If I'm only going to have the one, I want to try to make sure that the child outlasts me !!

It's actually getting more exciting now that we are seriously looking at donors. I feel like we might actually, eventually, get there
