Maybe that could be a way you and your hubby could connect over the grief you share? Sometimes music fills the gaps that words that can't x
My DH actually really wanted to use "when I was your man" at angus' funeral. Because he pretty much left angus and I to fend for ourselves once he was diagnosed and feels so guilty about it.

I user to think a thousand years was my Ivf/angus song but I feel silly about it.

It's not a silly choice. I think it's perfect for the son who only ever knew the love, comfort and warmth of his mothers body.

'how can I love when I'm afraid to fall. But watching you stand alone all of my doubt suddenly goes away somehow' - For a mother with strength enough to love her son fiercely even through everything. When it would be easier to distance yourself, you didn't.

'time stands still, beauty in all he is, I will be brave, I will not let anything take away what's standing in front of me. Every breath, every hour has come to this.'

    Happy Birthday, precious Angus.

I had never heard either of those songs until today -- both are beautiful. Thank you for sharing. I have a number of songs that mark various parts of my journey and they all connect me to my boy; make me feel that he is close; remind me of his love. I hope you too have that experience.

Thinking of your Angus today, Ally.

My last angel baby should have shared the same birth day.

    Happy Birthday, Angus, beautiful boy.

Ally, I am thinking of you all today, but speaking mum-to mum, I believe its okay to have your special fantasies in your mind about your children- whether it be a song, an imagined moment, a special item that makes you feel good- please enjoy those moments, even if you hold them for yourself in your mind. x
