But reagrdless losing weight will always be a good things. I don't join these ttc threads cause my pcos is that severe i don't know whats going on. I have been trying for number 2 since my son was born...4.5yrs. I get long cycles...so whst looks like fertile mucous more than once. I get what seems like implantation bleeding but nothing happens. My cycle even . came back 4 months pp when women who have normal cycles don't get them till they finish breastfeeding for 2 years! I can't judge or go by anything. I just ignore it all. No clinic will treat me because of my weight. So I'm just trying to lose weight and hope it regulates enough to ovulate naturally again.

@ProudMumma34 I find it odd that a clinic won't help you because of your weight! There are clinics in Sydney that song focus on that or discriminate against overweight people. Perhaps travelling for treatment is worth considering?

Fertility First definitely don't. I also know that Canberra Fertility Centre don't which is a couple hours drive but still... I also believe IVF Australia don't - well at least they didn't use to. I have read a couple others don't but I never paid much attention because some clinics have restrictions on same sex couples so I ruled them out. I think one was based in Liverpool.

Don't as in don't discriminate? Thank you, I'll look into a couple of them if need be. I'd hate to go through it all for them to be funny about my weight. Such a shame they have restrictions! Hopefully they can realise how necessary that is for couples and expand their practices soon!

TortoiseNotTheHare: I'm not seeking any treatment at the moment but when i was going to 2nd time around they wouldn't even hwlp me with ovulation induction because of my weight. I'll never be doing ivf because of the cost. The most I'll do is ovulation induction

They go by textbook...the dont want to take risk in case something goes wrong and they are liable.

Yeah those clinics don't worry about weight and studies have shown weight doesn't so much impact chances of conception but yes can sometimes cause a higher risk pregnancy (not always and skinny people can also end up with a high risk pregnancy anyway).
@ProudMumma34 that ridiculous that they won't help you with ovulation induction! I hope that you can find a clinic that will help if you need it.

Ironically they looked after me during my pregnancy but won't help me get pregnant lol. If I've lost enough weight I'll go back because I already go there for other stuff...and ironically i fell naturally too!

Monday is my weigh-in day and I'm 100g down from last week. Not much but a loss is a loss I guess. Aiming to go walking at least 5 days this week. And also drinking 2L water per day.
