    Default TTC and weight loss

    Ok lovelies

I have noticed that there are a few of us who are trying for baby and also wanting to lose weight.

So I was thinking let's start a support thread share recipes and to encourage each other not only with baby dust but on our weight loss journey.

Ok so for me I started at 100kg 12 mths ago.
Currently 83kg so 10 Kg to go.
    Just had implant removed.

    ✨✨✨😊😊✨✨✨

    Thanks.

I have spoken to my (hopefully soon to be ) midwife ( she is hubby's friends mum lol) and found out what's safe to do and not to do.

    Hi jet,
i was wondering this? Did she tell you what excerice you should and shouldn't do? I am just trying to get the last few kg off but when I feel I can be both pregnant and not I am not sure what I should do? Thoughts?

All she said is to not push yourself.

So I play hockey and there are no rules about playing pregnant. (We are only TTC at the moment but I didn't want to fork out for a season and commit if u couldn't play)

So after a chat with the nurse she said I could play if and when we get a BFP. I'm not allowed to play keeper for obvious reason. Ifs about knowing your limit and your body

    Hi guys!
New to BubHub and this thread is great!
I got married 5 months ago and my husband and I stopped using protection over 6 months ago but haven't been actively trying.
After having a lot of trouble always being tired, I took a trip to my local medical centre and they ran a whole lot of blood tests.
Turns out I have insulin resistance so everything I'm eating is being turned to sugar then into fat, even though I had been dieting, I was still gaining weight. In just over a year I gained back 20kg that I had lost the previous year.
In addition to the IR I also have a hormone imbalance; too much testosterone and very low progesterone.
I have begun logging my bbt, cm and cp in the hopes that I can see ovulation happening at least.
But I really need to get my weight down to regulate my hormones.
Doc has put me on Duromine and metformin to help with everything and so far I have lost 9kg in 3 weeks.
Would love to have some support from other ladies in my position.

    Sorry for the long post!!!

    Default TTC and weight loss

    Original Post:

Hello! I'm on a weight loss journey so that I can start TTC too! I had lost 10.7kgs in 2 weeks by doing Optislim but have a long way to go. I also took a 3 day break over Easter and that has set me back so for this week I'm just hoping that I can still have kept my 10.7kgs off. Sometimes it's hard because I'm a foodie but I keep trying to remind myself of why I'm doing this. For example DP made some homemade pizza (just on some leb bread) for lunch and I love pizza so of course I wanted to grab some but then I thought I would love pizza but I would love a baby even more.

So I've decided when I'm going nuts I can just ask myself what I would rather, said food or a baby

Hi Tortoise! Well done, that is fantastic how much you have lost so far! Are the Optislim shakes nice? Do you mis with water or milk?

Thanks tinkbug 😄 at first I would have said they were disgusting but now I enjoy them. It take a few days to get to that point though. It says to mix with milk but I just use ice cold water. They do taste a bit better with milk but I can deal with water instead and figure it's less calories.
