    Default High HCG at 5+1

I had a blood test on Thursday last week at 4+2 and my HCG was 768. A follow-up blood test was done today (6 days later) at 5+1 and my HCG is now 14,200. My doctor said this is higher than the normal range for gestational age. I'm having a dating scan when my hubby gets home from working away on April 13. Did anyone else have high HCG levels and if so, did they indicate anything out of the ordinary?

At 4w0d mine was 1300. Mine was high for the gestational age but turns out I'm having twins so that explained it. I also had high progesterone levels. Lots of women have higher than normal results and go onto have healthy singleton/multiple pregnancies.

Mine was really high at around 5.5 weeks, around 16,000 or something. Only 1 baby too. All was fine.

Thanks for your replies @grace @beebs @Pearlygirl @sammymac I'll find out whether there's one or two in 10 days when I go for my dating scan. I'll be 7 weeks. I wish it was sooner but my husband works away and that's the first day that he will be home. The wait and not knowing is killing me. I'll go for a repeat blood test on Wednesday next week to compare the HCG results. At the moment, my levels are doubling every 34 hours.

I had high hcg and a perfectly healthy baby boy in there. My levels were 2920 at 4+4 and 22000 at 5+4. My ob was surprised when it wasn't twins. I read all sorts of stupid stuff on dr google that had me freaking out unnecessarily so please don't do that to yourself!
