I am quite concerned by the advice you were given.
That's good to know for next time thank you. I had stayed for a few hours of ctg monitoring after the gel but they said they were happy with me to go home but was told any worries to call them or go back in. It's a worry I was told not to worry then

I went in to be induced at 3pm on Thursday afternoon although I was already 1cm that morning at the ante natal clinic. I was not allowed to leave once I'd had the gel. It took 3 lots of gel, breaking my waters and the drip to finally have DS on Saturday night.

I must be one of those rare women. I was given one lot of the gel, and had baby about 6 hrs later! First baby too. I was kept in hospital after being given the gel. Good luck OP

I stayed in hospital after the gel. Had it at 9.30pm and DS was born at 6.14am. I went from 3cm to birth in 2 hours so lucky I didn't get sent home!

I had gel, it didn't work for me, but they didn't send me home until bubs came.
