I had to take my daughter to the GP today so finally had the courage to get a referral for a blood test for me to check that everything is ok like rubella, iron, etc. Yay for taking the first step! I've just started seeing this GP and he's so great, I had nothing to be nervous about :-)
I've decided to get some testing done this cycle, mainly progesterone and luteal phase. Just have to remember to get the blood test on the right day. I took prenatal vitamins for four days and they made me really sick so I'm taking vitamin B complex (trying to lengthen my luteal phase) and folate. Also going to the gym to try to make sure I'm bikini ready for Hawaii next month (do you think I should cut out wine and chocolate, or would that be overkill?)
@MummaCat that's excellent news! Congratulations!
@Sally1981 I wouldn't change too much up at once but maybe cut one thing out at a time.. That could work a bit better.
DP and I have started taking Blackmores Conceive Well for the last week or so because we will be booking an appointment with the FS for September. It seems so close yet so far. I've lost 30kgs now but I'm still not where I want to be so I will power on with it between now and then. I just hope that I can continue to lose as much weight while we are doing the initial testing etc.
How's everyone else feeling?
Im bowing out ladies. DF and i have decided to wait a couple of years.
I have some Clearblue Digital OPKs and ebay cheapies i want to pass on. If you want them pm me your address and ill post them this week
I'm moving on too however we are Ttc now.
Ahh I was looking for this thread on the weekend! I had a blood test done about a month ago and apparently I have low measles immunity, no chicken pox immunity and I think no hep b immunity. So I had MMR straight away then got sick with a virus which turned into bronchitis and a bunch of infections so couldn't get chicken pox or Hep b for a while. Went on the weekend to get both but can't get chicken pox within 4 weeks of MMR so need to go back this weekend for that and my second course of Hep B.
I actually read a bit about Hep B today and realized I'm at such low risk of getting it, I'm not sure why my dr even recommended it! But I've started now so I guess I should finish.
Every now and then I start doubting my decision to try for a second. I want another child but am not that excited at the prospect of a newborn and young baby, I'd be quite happy to fast forward to 2-3 years old. Anyone else doubt themselves sometimes?
I had the hep b one done ages ago but that was because I was working in an area where I was actually at risk of getting it.
Looks like I'm joining you guys back in the waiting room! Finally got my BFP 3.5 weeks ago which unfortunately ended in a m/c. Back to the waiting game now.
