I'm not bothering with rubella as I can't hold immunity so it's pretty pointless for me.

If I did though, I'd definitely get it done before ttc.

I got blood tests and am glad I did as I discovered I had no immunity against chicken pox. It's a live immunization so it's a 1-3 month wait to conceive after receiving it and there's a booster. So it took a significant hit to our original plans, but it's all for the health of future bubs so I'm okay with that :-)

Hmmmm well I guess I should get mine checked! I did some googling on the rubella immunization as I'm 99% sure I received it post-birth and I think one adult vaccination vaccinates you for life but I should get it checked just in case.

Would you get checked if everything was high immunity March last year? I had blood tests back in 2009 when i was pregnant then and the results were high immunity as well as last years. With no vaccines or anything in between.

I think it's worth getting checked for rubella immunity. From what I'm hearing, it's quite common to not keep immunity for it, and I personally don't think it's worth risking when it's so easy to fix. I had low immunity when I was checked before ttc #1

I agree that it's worth getting checked. My immunity however doesn't even last a few months.

    Welcome @JR03.

The doctor has suggested I get my rubella levels checked. Among other things.

So there will be another blood test to get used to them. Now to get used to injections haha.
If rubella is low, I'll get that and DP and I are also getting the whooping cough one as we know a few people who are due in the next few months.

That will be my last hurdle regarding needles!
