I've decided I don't like waiting and thought I would share that with all of you lol. In all seriousness though I'm finding it difficult on focussing on the things that we want to do whilst we wait i.e. lose more weight. I'm sort of in that place where I think nah lets just get started. Oh dear.

    Sorry about the 'me' post.

Is there anyway you ladies can start earlier Tortoise or was there an exact reason behind the wait?

I've decided if it's not our month there'll be no testing next month. I roughly know when I ovulate so I'm just going to go with that. Im becoming a little obsessive with the tests and can't just be normal and test every other day.

Well there's a couple of reasons really. The first was to lose more weight and be healthier before going through a pregnancy. We also wanted to make sure that we have plenty saved up for both lots of IVF so we don't have financial stress. The other reason is being the timing of a baby being born at the end of next year works out better for in a financial sense in the future with taking time off work/childcare etc. I'm worried that it will take longer than we hope to conceive and we will wish we started sooner. I just have to be patient!!

I'm struggling with waiting as well. With the Abbott announcement about the change in ppl, it is better if we get pregnant September at the latest. But we r got a cruise booked for Feb, and in order to go in that, I can't get pregnant before September. I'm happy to cancel the cruise and start trying now, DH doesn't want to cancel the cruise. So we wait

What I'm finding incredibly difficult, is why what he wants is more important than what I want. Why is it that because he wants to wait, I have to go along with it? I didn't want to book the cruise because I wanted a baby. He wasn't ready yet, so I went along with what he wanted, and we booked the holiday.

Hi ladies, sorry I've been absent. Looks like everyone's going well (impatiently, like me ). I used OPKs and found it was best to test around 2pm after not drinking for 2 hours. I had literally no second line, then one day of a faint-ish line, then 4 days of positives. The 4 days was from me ovulating twice (makes you wonder how I still ended up with no live babies really). They definitely assisted with the conception part of the process.

AFM, our TTC journey has been set back by 8 more weeks due to retained products and a second d&c. So we still need 2 'normal cycles' and haven't even had one yet. Faaaaark! (Are we allowed to say that?)

I bet the next few months will fly and you'll be cycling in no time. All good reasons why you held off in the first place so hang in there?
How did @BeautyOfTheSouls interview go yesterday?

@Lilsmurfy would you be happy being on the cruise pregnant? I went on one last year and there were a few people pregnant, you can't go on it in your last trimester right?
@Sally1981 so sorry you've had to go through another D&C. How are you holding up? I couldn't imagine what you are going through but please take some time for yourself and once your body is ready you'll be able to try again x

You can't be more than 24 weeks at any time during the cruise. We went on one when I was 4 months pregnant with DD, it was fine, no issues
