You are too kind. I'd have dumped the child on him as soon as it hit 6am.

Oh hun. People forget how terrible their kids were/are. Dh pulled me up on this a few weeks ago. I was saying that dd1 was such a peaceful child compared to dd3 at 5-10 days old. He asked if I had dementia as dd1 pretty much screamed the first week of her life. I didnt recall any of that and the photos only showed a sleepy baby. So that was what my memory is based on.

And believe me, there are many parents out there who are holding sleeping babies overnight. They just don't admit it. Unfortunately people associate 'parenting ability/skill' with sleep. So no one wants to admit they have bad sleepers or just normal kid behaviour.

I will happily admit my kids have had shocker nights/days. But I'm still a freaking good mum.

This exactly! @heartstringz this whole sleep business makes you crazy! DD has never been a good sleeper she is 14 months now and still doesn't sleep through and has huge screaming fits.. I just keep telling myself it won't last forever. Especially when I am beyond frustrated and beyond tired.

Dd3 decided that it's fun to be awake from 12-3am. So after dumping her on dh at 2am so I could rest he gives her back at 2.30am saying he is tired.

Idiot. So instead of baking him his favourite biscuits to take bake to Canberra today I'm going to bake mine and eat them in front of him. Childish, yes but I dont care.
