    Really frustrates me that my DD is halfway to being a squad swimmer and I have to fork out money for school swimming where she gets placed in a group lower than her because there is noone else high enough to join her group

    I could be putting this money towards an extra lesson at her swim school so she could gain her last two 50m certificates faster. Grrrr

    Is school swimming compulsory? Surely they could let her off?

    This. We convinced the kids' mum not to have DSD in swim lessons for term 4 this year, as she would have to go down a level and it's just not worth it.

    I'm not sure to be honest. If she didn't attend she'd have to go to another year level as all the grade 1 classes go together :/
