Going on day 5 today without taste or smell due to this chronic blocked nose, it seems like such a pathetic complaint but it's driving me mental! I can't taste food! I've been living off vitamin shakes, bananas and weetbix just to fill the hunger pangs. No point making any real food if I can't taste it.
And I needed to eat my feelings this week more than ever. Guess it's a bit of a blessing in disguise, I've lost over a kg but didn't want to do it like this.
I want coffee! And for dinner I want a nice lasagna and salad. Not gonna happen 😞

Omg now I'm going to feel so ungrateful to the poor hen if I ever disrespect an egg! I'm so bad at cooking eggs too!

    LOL. Sorry! 🐓🐓🐓🍳🍳🍳

As a chicken owner, it's a really interesting process. Takes them about 25 hours to make the egg. They are very clever little things!

Hahaha I was heartbroken. Usually my poached eggs are near perfect every time I cook them. Mind you, my MIL thought she'd try baked/poached in the oven eggs the other week for Father's Day. She cooked them too long and they were like hockey pucks. So at least mine this morning weren't THAT bad. On the upside I slept for a good 7.5hrs solid with a full belly

So happy to go home tonight. 3 nights at fils, not once has he actually planned or cooked dinner. We went and bought something for dinner last night because we were hungry and fil has nothing in the house.
It's like this every time we come. He never thinks about cooking food just ignores the fact no ones eaten.
Such a pathetic vent but ahh! It's so annoying. Every time.

You would be seriously distraught at how I have my eggs then. Boiled for 10 minutes or fried until they are almost blackened. I can't have my eggs even sightly soft or even a hint of being soft. I can't even deal with the texture of poached eggs. We have chickens too.

DS bit my finger when I was trying to give him cough medicine to help his horrid cough. He bit it hard, right next to the nail bed. I actually screamed and that was the only thing that made him stop. Ouchy.

We have just stopped breastfeeding in the last couple of days so im still making milk. So i thought it was reasonable to expect dh to leave work on time just until i no longer smell of milk so he can put ds down for the night. But no, apparently thats not reasonable at all.....
