my friend put a little bachelorette weekend on for me in Sydney as I have no close female friends or family where I am. I was happy to fly over on cheap flights and she put on a high tea at a lovely venue for me. we went out that night in the city then out for a few wines then home. it was just a relaxed but fun girly weekend. no fuss or carry on (as I hate fuss and carry on).

I've helped organize kitchen teas etc in the past and the bride to be always has really stupid demands and ideas and just expects everyone to make planning the event their fulltime job.

I don't know, I think people have just gone generally a bit silly these days 😝
I completely agree! It's not what it should be about.

There's a bird in the roof 😑 juuuust great.
And the house is freezing so went to turn the heater on and it flicked the safety switch. So now the house is freezing, not much warmer outside and if I try n turn the heater on I have no power? What a great day!

And the heater is stuffed 😑 thankfully it's not the middle of winter but would be nice to feel warm! DS and I will be rugging up tonight. Dp drove 20 minutes to town to buy a new fuse (after realising one had blown in the heater) put it in and fuse blows and power goes out. I'm completely out of ideas. I really don't have the money to call someone out next week to look at it. Would I need a plumber or electrician? 😕 or someone completely different? Whyyyyyy?!

And to make it worse Dp said he found a MASSIVE rats tail up there. Apparently really old but he said it was MASSIVE! How bloody gross!

Why do tradies say "I'll be there between 7-7:30am" then always show up at the later time, or even later than that. Why not just say the later time if they have no intention of getting there at the earlier time.

Yep. And another tradie classic... "I'll get back to you with a quote" and they don't bother. Annoying!

It's a braemar, ducted gas heating. Dp is going to get back up in the roof and see if he can see anything obvious but I think I'll be calling someone on Monday.

What a pain! The house is really cold. Seems so dumb to light the fire though lol if this house had some natural light to warm it up it would be ok 😒
