Default The Not So Serious Vent Thread #5

Dislocated my knee while out shopping today. Yep, while shopping. Luckily it happens often enough I can pop it back in without any difficulty and it doesn't hurt for too long afterwards. Today would not be one of those days. Put it back in and the pain is still there. Fingers crossed it eases up soon. Between Dp trying to make 'light' of my agony while finishing groceries and trying to fight back tears I forgot a lot of stuff we needed 😒

    Ow. You have my sympathies.

I dislocated my left knee playing back yard cricket with my brother one New Year's Eve when I was 12, so I have at least a vague understanding of how painful it can be. After that, it kept popping out and back in again, so when I was 14, they decided to do a patella realignment. I haven't had any problems with it for several years now, thankfully.

It is such a painful thing. Usually never hurts this much. 😔 oh that sounds horrible lol I've never had anything done about it.

Yeah, it wasn't nice at the time, but as I said I have no issues with it now generally - although it has been about 26 years since I had it done. I still have trouble with squatting though, but I think I just need to do some sort of exercise to strengthen the muscles around my knees.

That's a good thing. One day I'll look at getting something done. I have trouble squatting. That gets painful after a little bit. I think I do too, it happens too often.

I got 5 hours sleep last night. Not because of a teething baby or 3yo nightmares or tooth pain. Because of my bloody Netflix addiction!

Now off to watch some more!

Baby was awake most of the night

He's fallen asleep three times today fairly easily (under 30 mins if rocking/ feeding and has transferred to his cot each time)

EACH time he has fallen asleep my older kids have woken him with their screaming/ fighting in the first 15 mins of his nap.

    Three times.

And he won't go back down he just clings to me and whinges. And the other two are at each other constantly.

I'm so broken today I just want wine
